Hello guys, I need your help in regars a new fermentation that doesn`t start up.
I have frozen some Wyeast 3787 yeast using glycerol , it has been frozen 13 months so far . I thaw this yeast properly as many other times that I had success and made a 100ml starter and then 1 liter more using a stir plate for several days until I noticed there was no need to continuing. I have collected a big and thick slurry(1 inch tall) from a 2 lts Erlenmeyer an pitched it 20 hs ago 5 gals of a well aerated Deschutes Chainbreaker clone with an OG 1059 at 66 F temperature.
The point is I couldn`t find any single minor sign of activity so far, even shaking fermentor there is no minimal degassing, no bubbles, no nothing. So I was wondering (couldn`t find any information neither on the net nor the book Yeast) how healthy a yeast is while has been so able to budding, is it a stupid question?. I have defrost yeast 3-4 times before this time with good results but I am concerned regarding this fermentation because even it would start somehow I am suspecting a poor yeast health issue and an endless fermentation.
If you have some information I will appeciate your help.

    TIA

Can't help you with any glycerol procedures, but at least it was only a White IPA clone
Seriously, good luck reviving the 3787...cheers
