I went looking for a map of yeast locations, and sure enough, someone --a blogger at "The Perfect Pint" -- has put one together, at least for some English strains. I thought this was pretty cool. Anyone know of other maps of this type?

    Here's the original source.

That is about as good as you can find, but some are up for debate.

You can look the breweries up and make your own map.

All of the lager yeasts are said to be of the Carlsberg or Tuborg type, as that was where some of the yeast were cleaned up, and even the Germans got the cleaned up yeast from.

As far as American ale strains, those came from the UK, and then became acclimated to the US breweries.
