I used my only racking hose to make a bubbler for a blow-off set-up for another batch of ale I just made. I was going to bottle today and when I checked the hose, it was stained with yeast from the blow-off set up.

Question: can I use the hose after soaking it in disinfectant, even though it has the yeast residual still inside? Or I should I hold off and get another hose?

    Sorry, rookie here.

A soak in hot oxyclean solution will almost definately clean the hose of yeast derbis.

Dude, hoses are $.10 a foot. Just get you a roll of hose and throw away when needed. Why risk it for just a few cents?

Oxyclean worked great. It's a time and distance from hose question, not a $$ issue. Thanks.
