I'm pretty new to brewing and have an imperial nut brown in second fermentation, is it normal for yeast or trub to be ringed around the cariboy rings? Each little shelf on my cariboy looks like a ring of yeast or trub on it
Thanks I figured it was but wanted to be safe , learning more everyday and getting hooked more everyday too
Use your forefinger tip to give these yeast ring deposits repeated taps, this way yeast is going to fall to the bottom of the carboy.
I fixed that for you. Wouldn't want someone taking the bung out of the full carboy and sticking their finger in there to get the gunk off the neck to fall into the beer below...
Thanks , my english doesn´t help me . I am glad to see you are there to do not let me confuse someone, it is not my intention for sure.
Less your statement, and more dumb ass noob mistakes... Next thread "Why is my beer gushing from the bottles?" Questions insue, answer follows, well someone told me to use my finger to knock tap the yeast ring down, link to thread, replies implying OP is an idiot because he should no better than to stick it hands into his fermentor, etc, etc. No problem. You've actually done quite well. Or see @wspscott reply abobe.
