So, I need to yeast wash a batch of beer that I used Wyeast De Bom for that I also racked on fruit. I lost the original cake from primary, but got a decent one in secondary. Just bottled yesterday. I've yeast washed before, but how do I do it with fruit in the mix. Just strain over a not-fine Kitchen mesh strainer?
What type of fruit? Will it float when you add the water? If not washing it will probably be nearly impossible. To that end I'd call it a fruitless endeavour but.......
Cherries and raspberries. They mostly float. I see what you're getting at. If that doesn't work, does anyone know where I can still procure some DeBom?
This place appears to have it still.... http://www.americanbrewmaster.com/Wyeast-3203-PC-De-Bom-Sour-Blend
