To be fair, he did complete his trade with me. It was a less than stellar experience for me and I wouldn't recommend him but I also can't say he's a bad trader by definition.

 

You had issues with what I think is the core of trading (communication, shipping time frame, content of box). Your story alone does not qualify him as a bad trader, but your experience bolsters the OPs position, and that's really all I meant.

 

I've traded with him before. From what I recall, it took him a long time to get me the package, but it did come eventually with everything we had agreed on in it.

130 trades with only one neutral, the rest positive, on RB is pretty good track record, otherwise I would say throw him in front of bus now.

Considering minimal detective work in this thread reveals his BA name, I would give ultimatum to person with a specific date, and start a bad trader thread about him if he doesn't comply.

 

In my opinion, you rarely ever see neutral ratings on RB. People seem to be afraid of honest opinions, and because of it, traders continue to do what they're doing. If there were more neutrals about poor communication and slow shipping, you can bet those behaviors would change.

 

I have traded with him and nothing was wrong at all. It went very smoothly and he shipped when I did. Sorry that this is happening to you though OP.

Glad you finally got your beer but this moron doesn't know what the word "unreasonable" means, obviously. Hopefully he sees that he was wrong in the way he executed this trade and has a little more urgency or communication in his next one.

 

Unreasonable? That's rich. Makes me want to start a trade with him so I can slo-ship without any communication and let hiim worry every day about his beer showing up or whether there's a BM with an update in his inbox.

 

I trustee(RS)for the guy and rarely hear from him. I have chalked it up to a busy life. He is definitely a stand up guy and would never intentionally screw some one over.

 

sorry but being a trustee, you have most of the power. I wouldnt imagine he'd screw you over, you have his expensive beers...

 

Me being his trustee is not why I don't think he would intentionally screw someone over, but whatever.

 

I don't think this guy ever tried screwing anyone over. It just seems like he is not that great at communication or shipping out in a timely manner (as supported by other members). Whether this makes him a "bad" trader, or just a "not-ideal" trader, or perfectly fine trader I think is the question now.

 

And that distinction is in the eye of the beholder. I'd like to know, coming into the trade, if I should expect to not hear back from the trader and hound him to get a package out. There's obviously some overlap, but there is a difference between a scam artist and a bad trader.
