I've been using Beer Advocate for a while and have over 200 beers that I have reviewed. I start to look over all the beers I've reviewed and noticed a big change.
In the beginning, I was rating beers higher, everything I tasted was super, something I had not had before.
Now, over time, I am finding myself my critical. I look at a beer I might rate a 4.1 today and check one out two years ago that I rated 4.1 and there should have been MILES apart in the review.

So, Yes, my tastes have improved, I have had more exposure to crafted beers. Its almost like I need to take my first year of reviews and eliminate them or at least put them aside. But then, as dealing with wines for over 30 years, I look at it the same way. Its a natural progression. I would not expect a wine drinker who rated a Merlot 5 years ago to the same person who rated a Merlot today.

We change, our experiences change..... I just wonder where I will be tomorrow.
