So not to beat a dead horse (I know, I just did), but seeing that the Cannery is already sold out for the weekend, does anyone have any recs as to where I can find a few loose 4 packs of Heady in the Mad River Valley / Stowe area? I am driving up from Southern Vermont for the farmers market tomorrow bright and early and would really like to get my hands on some cans if at all possible.

    Thanks in advance.

I guess i should have been a little more specific. I am obviously aware of the website and the locations that sell Heady, but considering the difficulty in finding it, which places on that list have the highest probability of having it in stock this Saturday? Just looking for a little local insight on which retailers typically have it in stock for longer than others...

Very popular beer weekend, I'd call ahead to stores.

Good luck finding any this weekend with FoFA and a Lawson's market happening...

Your best bet is to head to Waterbury and have Heady at Pro Pig.

I was on my way up to Montreal a few weekends ago during the Vermont Brewers Fest, and passed through the area around 1pm on Friday afternoon. The cannery and pretty much every store I called were sold out as of about noon. My friend suggested The Edelweiss Mountain Deli: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Edelweiss-Mountain-Deli/115370168481939. We called and they said they had "some". Got there about 1:30 and they had over a case left. One four pack per person.

It's always a good idea to call ahead. No sense in speculating who, what, when and where, when you can find out availability right from any of the sources that carry it on a regular basis.

unfortunately by the sound of it from a friend who lives up that way, locals keep their Heady spots close to their chest (my friend included) to be sure they can get them when they want...similar to the way we will keep our powder spot close to our chest.
I'm heading up to the Farmer's Market as well from southern VT, but can't get there until late morning. Hoping you can leave me some. I'll be on the search for some HT as well...i've got a lead, but can't tell you

Wherever you do score some, make sure the store has the Official Authorized Retailer decal. Enjoy the fresh Heady Topper!

Warren General & Hunger Mountain were sold out when I was up yesterday.

no one is going to tell you exactly where to go...pick up the phone and make some calls.

Looks like that 2 case limit is really working:confused:

Fair enough. Thanks for the responses.

Just because they sell out doesn't mean it's not working. They know it's going to sell out wither way so they might as well try to get it into as many different hands as possible.

I don't think the OP was asking for anyone to serve HT up on a silver platter for him. He was simply asking for advice as to where he should check around - a perfect use for this forum.

I went by the cannery yesterday around 3:30ish and tried to be an ambassador of goodwill and friend of Vermont by only buying a single case, but every other person I saw there was buying the limit. I don't think I've ever seen so many grown men with giddy looks on their faces without the Grateful Dead being involved.

And he was given a list of retail locations...

No one wants to post where HT is available when other places are sold out or y'all will clean them out just like Hunger Mtn, Warren Store and every other thing that gets public mention around here.

I'd post places, but they really are listed on the website. I didn't check the places personally since I always have heady on hand so I don't really have anything to offer. But if I was looking for heady Pizza Joint (down Moscow Rd in Stowe) and Green Top (in Morrisville, gps it) are places most people forget about. When I lived on Moscow, Pizza Joint had Heady most of the time. At least when they were actually getting their shipments.
