If i'm lucky i'll get box #2 out tomorrow but if i can't manage to piece it together tonight it'll have to wait till next week. Sorry i only ship on Mondays and Tuesdays. Did you drink that Hoppy Birthday yet?

 

Should get some packing done tonight I'm thinking 3 or 4 boxes... You know who you are...

Oh this and the bm I got have me a little concerned. Time to call the leasing office!

No worries on shipping. I did open it up with my step mom and girlfriend on Friday night. Both really enjoyed it (as did I) and were extremely grateful. I just got back to Philly today and will try to get the picture of box 1 up tonight.

THere is so much in this box, and I love all of it. Some are Perma Wants. Some I have never had like Knuckle Sandwich or Beatification. Some my wife loves like Red Poppy and all NG. I admit it. StarRaptor is my pimp and I am his Bitch. THere I said it.

 

They change Alesmith Decadence every year so the one they used for the BA version was the 2011 batch which I tracked down for the sole purpose of a side by side for you.

Glad the RR Beatification was a super want. I wanted to send a lot of should be wants (which was almost everything else)

Glad you like the glassware, collecting it was the perfect excuse to collect some additional glasses for myself.

Most of the IPAs I collected multiple of from the same batch so I could personally ensure freshness. in a couple of cases this resulted in tracking down different/fresher batches.

 

The shirt was a knife to dig into you a little bit more

 

Got a break in the weather so I just dropped off the first 2 boxes. The next 2 will be dropped off tomorrow. I got tired of carrying that much weight around in one trip.

 

No mention of the awesome Big Gulp cup I sent you

So I had guessed that MNbearsfan was my sender... Then he said a box landed Friday and i saw nothing, and figured I was wrong. After a long drunken weekend that included a Lost Abbey release, Lunch at Churchill's, a night at Scott's drinking his effin beer, and a Bruery clusterfork I pretty much forgot Friday. Cue today when I get a BM asking if I received the box... After a call to my leasing office I found that I did in fact get a package Friday that they forgot to notify me about. Picked it up today and clearly I didn't use enough lube. I just got slammed hard! 11 wants and one should be want that was definitely wish list (the only reason it wasn't a want because I didn't know it existed).





2009 BCS - This was the one I was missing from my 08-12 vertical, and you nailed it!
2010 4 Roses Eclipse - I opened my last one in December and I absolutely love this beer, I was saddened that there was no 4 Roses in 2012
2012 Mother of all Storms - my first 2012 bottle! Thank you!
Upland Dantilion - Never even heard of this beer but I have loved absolutely every sour I have tried from Upland!
Upland Raspberry - Yes I would love to receive this bottle again, thank you for asking!
Steel Toe Lunker - Never had this but heard absolutely awesome stuff about it!
Central Waters Fifteen - Had a sip of this at Scott's on Saturday and I'm stoked to have a bottle of my own!

Matt, I can't thank you enough for this absolutely ridiculousness. I am having a blast with this BIF!

 

Box one is being packed now.

A 12 bottle shipper filled with:

5 Wants
4 Brewery only releases
8 of the beers spent time in a barrel
3 are highly rated IPAs from the same state
States represented: CA, NY, OH, PA

Also including 2 boxes that housed two of the beers along with an insert for one. Dropping off at FedEx tomorrow and it will be going Northwest to the state with the most people in this BIF.

I miscounted glasses this weekend, so I'm going to be scrambling to get some swag for my target, but I should be able to get a sweet glass to go with a couple of growlers, hopefully tomorrow. Ideally I'd like to have everything out to my target so that he receives it before the weekend.

Edit - after seeing a haul from my target, a couple of the beers I planned to send will be subbed out, as he sent them to his target.
