Sunday morning I picked up a few extra cans of the 'extra' that was given out in the Huna day bags. I didn't think much of it until I got home today and found that 3 off the 4 cans had different colored markings on the bottom near the canned date. 1 can has a yellow mark, 2 have blue marks, and 1 has a green mark.

Now it's got me wondering if there's a difference between the cans and what exactly are the differences? I'm doubting tin-foil hat, black helicopter stuff, but "You Never Know".

Those colored dots are put on there from Ball (can manufacturer), not the breweries. Has nothing to do with what beer is in there.

    From Facebook:

"It's a 10% Double IPA with these hops:
    Mosaic
    Equinox
    CTZ
    Azacca
    Lemon Drop
    Citra

No, it's not a repackaging of another Double IPA. It's a brand new recipe designed specifically to be given away at Hunahpu's Day."

Haven't seen any mention of canned date, but mine is stamped 3/12, last Thursday. Consumption date will be 3/16, Monday, 7 PM.

Drinking mine now and it's delicious. This is probably the best DIPA CCB has done IMO.

I got an Uber ride home after Huna day last year. The driver was about 15 years my elder, missing 2 teeth, and weighed about 100 lbs more than me. I was hammered though and feeling lonely. I told Joey this story a few months ago and he asked if I invited her in. I smiled wryly and said, "You Never Know."

Now you know the truth and the speculation can end.

Lemon drop is the hottest hop of 2015 so far.

Beer's hottest hop is called Lemon Drop. It's got everything: sunburns, tank-top-wearing hipsters, flip-flops, chain link fences, eek-scarves ...
    ("What's an eek scarf?")
It's that thing, where a bearded guy carries a giant snake around his neck and cuts between people in lines waiting for someone to turn around and yell "eeek!!"

Tastes similar to White Oak Jai Alai if you ask me, but I'm just getting over a nasty cold...
