A guy at Boundary Stone mentioned he thought a local DC establishment was getting a sixel of Younger. Anyone have any more deets about this? Sounds like Meridian or Churchkey would be likely but any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Forget it. Wish it were true, but there's no way. RR no longer distributes into DC (if they ever did), and though DC laws allow beer bars and stores to legally sell anything they can get their hands on, no one is going to get a sixtel of younger. I mean where or who would they get if from? Any distributor lucky enough to get younger parcels this beer out as if it were gold, so there's no way they'd be interested in selling a sixtel to beer bar in DC, no matter what they were willing to pay for it. This is the sort of beer you parcel out as a favor to your very best accounts..... I feel fairly certain that no place in DC fall into that category.
Got to agree with this analysis, it's very very unlikely you'll see Younger in DC. There's only one distributor east of Denver who gets this beer and it would be easier for a bar owner to fly to CA and buy a sixtel from a distributor there than it would be to get one from a distributor any further east.
Speak for yourself, I picked up a Sixtel of PtY at Total Wine Mclean just this past weekend. One sixtel limit and you have to ask for it, definitely not out on the shelves. But yeah, what he said ^
