Younger in Philly?

They actually received their Pliny this week. They are just waiting to get Elder and Blind Pig in to have them all on tap at once.

 

I know. I read the email. Hence my question. Your reply should be to the guy who didn't read the email but said it was tapped.

 

The subject line on my phone said "Just tapped 3/9 Younger". I opened the email to see that my email client truncated the subject. The actual subject is "Just tapped 3/9 & Younger Update".

My apologies to my BucksCo friends for jumping the gun there.

 

For anyone planning to go to Blue Dog Chalfont tomorrow for their Younger Event- I just had dinner there tonight and saw the list (and pricing) for tomorrow. A 4 oz pour (in a 5 oz glass) of Younger is listed at $3.49. Huge DEAL, given what I've seen others on this thread pay in the past few weeks for Younger. Here's the rest of what is supposed to be tapped along with Younger tomorrow:

I did not get a chance to ask anyone if they've got a Sixtel or 1/2 keg, but would have to assume it's a half based on the price they're charging. The overall list looks amazing- even if you don't get PtY, the rest are a "super buffet" of excellent craft ales :-)

 

Last year I was at Via Marconi's Pizza Pub in Lansdale, PA on a weekday around lunchtime and they just so happened to have it nonchalantly listed on their tap list... I also had it at Craft Ale House in 2011 and of the two times I had PtY, I feel as if it was way overrated. It is a pretty good beer, but certainly not worth paying an extravagant premium for or waiting in line for.

 

I'm not sure I'd assume that, especially given the size of the pour. Could be either, but a 4 oz pour makes it sound like they want to stretch a sixtel. And while that's a better price than Capone's or Monk's (which went to charity), that price is similar to others who were doing $6.75-7.00 for 10 oz pours. Either way, not a bad deal for 4oz.

I just got home from Jose Pistola's tapping of PtE. Even though the keg kicked in 7 minutes, it was a super laid back night with some funk music to accompany the beer. Cheers to Jose's for a good event.

 

Belgian Cafe quietly had theirs on last night, for only $5.50 for a 10oz pour... lasted quite a while as only about 20 people seemed to know about it. That's the (selfish) way I like these events to go!

 

Went to Sidebar today for their Rare Craft Kegs and Eggs. Walked in at 11 to a lot of people drinking already. Tickets for Younger were easily picked up at the bar and you could have grabbed one minutes before the 12:00 tapping. PtY was fantastic as always. I also enjoyed a flight of Lost Abbey Deliverance, Avery/RR Not Litigation, DFH Red & White, and DFH WWS. One very nice BA I had never met walked up and handed me some CBS which was probably the highlight of the day. 30 minutes later he came over again with Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Maple Bacon Ale!
