Yeah, not surprising. I also don't really feel like sitting in a line for a couple hours either. I'd rather just go for all of the other good beers.

Russian river uses microstar kegs. Microstar doesn't have 1/4 kegs in thier fleet. Why do people talk out of turn on things they know nothing of. Microstar only leases out 1/6 and 1/2.

??? only going by what the bartender told me.
can anyone confirm that there was NOT a quarter keg there like multiple people told me?

I'm so pissed about Teresa's. On a normal day, being more or less unemployed, I check about 5 bars taplist like 10 times throughout the day. However, today my fiancee was off too and we were out running errands. Otherwise I would have easily seen the younger and shot over there so quickly. Ugh I'll be at Capone's at 5 a.m.

Anyone want to carpool from North Jersey to Monk's on Monday? Trying to get a full car to be environmental and to save on gas and tolls.

I'm in Bloomfield (right off the Parkway). I'd be up for a carpool, I almost definitely won't have work on Monday

awesome you're in. You and me so far and I reached out to 2 friends. What do you roll in? We should probably pick the most comfy/best on gas mileage car

Part of the reason I'm up for a carpool is a current lack of wheels :grinning:

You're all out of your minds. It's a beer. A really GOOD beer, mind you, but just a beer.

Stop feeding the hype beast. Enjoy one of many other Top 100 beers that are rockin' the Philly market.

While I can't say that I could visually confirm or deny it, the email from last year (which I still have) states that Monk's got a sixtel. heh

True as that is, it's pointless posting such things because no one will heed you.

For the record, I'm going to Monk's on Monday for the raffles. And the mussels. Though if an interesting Russian River beer gets in my way, I guess I'll just have to imbibe it (though by then I'm sure I'll have had my fair share, but that's neither here nor there).

The bartender said quarter keg, but I think I heard him mention seeing it and it being a half keg later on, which makes sense given how long it lasted, even with a smaller crowd.

Monks may very well have had sixtels last year, but if so, they had at least three. There were over 80 people in line when the doors opened and I believe it was still going when we left a little after 12. Plus, they apparently had a later non-event tapping. Either way, we should probably all stop talking out of turn because we have an expert level keg master among us.

i'm almost more bummed out on missing the raffles than i am the tapping. i'll def get a chance to have a glass or two of younger at some point, but i'd really like a crack at some of those tickets.

All this talk about Teresa's and Monk's- was anybody at the Grey Lodge last night for their PtY tapping? Was it a mob scene, or did it fly under the radar?

it was packed. But not insane. $7 for 10oz I believe. Got two beers for a total of $11(guessing the dock street was $4) It's been a while since I was there, but I wasn't crazy about anything on the tap or bottle list. But it was def well worth the hour round trip!

    Pinocchio's Beer Garden To Go
About ten minutes ago, Andrew and Tim felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. They fear something terrible has happened. Like they locked Dan in Pinocchio's with a sixtel of Pliny the Younger. Doors open at 10:30 am today.

Looks like they are sixtels. I've never heard RR doing quarters and I highly doubt they are shipping halves of Younger.
