Your Average ABV

    Has anyone ever added up their average ABV of beers reviewed? I'm at 240 reviews and got about 112 in when I lost my bearings because of the ABV that I've drank tonight! LOL! I'll give it another try one days, but was wondering if anyone knows their average ABV?

    6.987%. I've only reviewed 77 beers so far though, and a lot tend to be the ones I really enjoy, which are often higher alcohol content. So this number is probably inflated.

    not just using reviews, but its like 6%-7%. I used my untappd checkins too.

    5.0%. I (try to) drink a lot of Schlenkerla Maerzen.

    I figure that's the range I'd be in. I'm too lazy to verify it; 1775 reviews seems like a whole lot of work.:grimacing:

    only 550 on here, and 652 on untappd. I figure like 800 total. my god youre old :slight_smile:

    Cheeky monkey. I did have a fresh Pliny the Younger, side by side, with a fresh Pliny the Elder at the first GABF I went to and it was a no contest.

    I havent had Younger, but thats the curse of living on the east coast in a city thats not Philly. now youve doubled my excitement for the bottle i get next weekendish!

    I don't really feel like adding up my reviews but I quickly found my median to be around 6.9% I'm guessing the average would be a little bit higher than that because there are quite a few above 10%. Certainly the average of beers I review is much higher than my overall average of all the beer I drink because I tend to only review special stuff I'm trying these days which often means big beers.

    stopped reviewing @ around 800 need to start again from my notes but i would say around 6.5%
