No comment. People who live in MD near DC would understand why.

I try to shop local as much as possible rather than going the TW or Bevmo route, but I will shop those places on occasion too when I need to get something special I cannot find anywhere else. I have about four local stores I shop at but 1 I have as my "go-to" store where I know the family is great and very helpful, that being GCM here in Phoenix(Gilbert).

@ForemostLiquors in Arlington Heights is my go-to store. I go for the beer, and I stay for their verbal abuse.

So you too have been accused of trying to steal beer? "Hey, is that a can of beer in your pocket or are you just happy to be here?"

This thread made me take a few seconds to count up how many places into which I've actually set foot to look for/buy beer in the NYC Metro area. Total: 16. I only frequent 4-5 on a regular basis though due to proximity. The others were visited in a search for a particular brew or if they were conveniently located along the way to where I was traveling.

In and around Fairfax I frequent Norm's (Vienna) and Total Wine (Fairfax/Chantilly/Springfield). I go to Norm's when I have questions and TW when I just want to grab something...

Three. One general with a good beer selection and two that are specialty beer stores that serve both tap beer, food, and bottles to go. If you are ever in KC, MO try to get to the Bier Station. A true delight.

our local beer store is rated 99/100 and is getting even better. so we are very lucky in the Ithaca area.

as for dumbing down your resume it can only mean two things.
you think you are too smart for retail. you are not.
you think you can have too much education. you cannot.

either way I would not hire you.
    Cheers.

Cable Beverages in Bardonia, which is right near Nanuet, in Rockland County. I haven't seen any of the Framinghammers there, but they do get a lot of the regulars and 16 oz. bottles (Hopstitution, Kiwi Rising, etc.).

16 oz. growler fills!? That sounds right up my alley. I looked it up, but I can't believe they would do that. Some places around here don't even have their own 32 oz. growlers (you need a growler for each store here in MD). No alcohol in grocery stores or convenience stores in most of MD, i.e. the most populated areas (it really depends on the county and archaic, convoluted laws).

Damn, that sounded like a lot but then I started counting up mine and came up with ten regular spots, too. Like you, I'm at each one at least once a month, some more like once every couple weeks. Hell, we've probably crossed paths at some of these places without even knowing it.

I'm not sure where you live, but check out Woodman's every now and then. The staff is useless (even though they make more $/hr than most Binny's employees), and you have to check dates like a hawk, but they are so much cheaper.
