    1. MGM Liquor Warehouse
Good selection, reasonable prices on 6 and 12 packs, 2 blocks from the house. Not the most knowledgeable staff, no Mix Six, no singles other than bombers. Neither Rochefort nor Westmalle.
    2. Merwin's Liquors
Excellent selection, very knowledgeable staff but the real goodies go quickly. Excellent for Mix Sixes. About a mile or so away.
    3. Midway Liquors
Small but choice selection, good prices, knowledgeable beer manager. No Mix Six. Five miles away.
    4. Wine Thief/Ale Jail
Very limited selection of BMCs, magnificent collection of crafts. Top notch staff. A little pricy and about 5 miles away, plus they close at 8 Mon-Thur (city codes).
    5. Total Wine
Huge selection of standards with an occasional rarity that I'll never buy (Utopias). Large selection for Mix Six. Crappy staff.

If you can't find it at Binny's, it's probably not worth drinking.

They have a great selection and you can order it online and have it waiting for you.

Well where I live great local store that sells singles and does growler fills from a lot of local breweries.
There's a taproom about 10 miles that has a lot of locals as well and does sampling flights.
Total wine is about 70 miles from me, so maybe a monthly trip.
Also a bev mo that's 50 miles away.
Safeway, Haggen and Albertsons always good too.

    Generally 3.

    Gordon's Liquors
    D&L Liquors
    Marty's

Gordon's the most often because it's directly on the route between my work and my home.
D&L's because even though the selection generally isn't quite as good as Gordon's, I once found a Parabola there whereas if Gordon's had Parabola the only possible way to get it would have been to respond to the email within five minutes of it being sent.
Marty's the least often because it's more out of the way but it also tends to have things the other two do not.

I only frequent a few on a regular basis - Ramirez, Sunset Beer, and Total Wine. As for a bar & grill, my go-to place is 38 Degrees.

Tasty Beverage in Raleigh is my fav around these parts. Also enjoy Triangle Wine in Morrisville and Sams Blue Light in Durham. Lucky to have quite a few quality shops around.

Oddly, Krogers has a good selection and a pick six for 9.99. I am in the middle of IPA tasting and finding it quite a hoppening. I stopped in the Wine Works in Springfield, Ohio and found a lot of beer. A lot of import, prices decent and you can mix and match.

    2. They both get new beers that every other store in town does not get.

What part of Jersey are you from? I'm in the Princeton area and don't have much variety (Wegman's is alright, Joe Canal's is a bit better). Curious if your hot spots are close enough for me to frequent!

You gotta hunt around. I was just at Joe Canals (Woodbridge) today for some good stuff. Wegmans is good for a mix six and an occasional six or bomber when I grocery shop. Supersaver in Somerville works. Petrocks and Bottle King occasionally (although I haven't been in Hillsborough in a while. Super buy rite wine in North Plainfield is good, but a little pricey. I even hop up to Midtown Wine Merchants up in Morristown occasionally. I was recently at Gary's in Madison. Pretty good selection. Some places have stuff others don't and vice versa. Mind you, I don't go to all these places all the time. I do have a job, a wife, kids and a life.

Edit: we go to Princeton every so often to walk around and eat/drink at Triumph. Coolvines sometimes has some good stuff.

Maybe not? Mine are in the Middlesex/Union area. One of them is Joe Canal's. Another is Total Wine which is really good but don't know if there is one by you? Shop-Rite Liquors can be good also.

They're not really "growlers" per se, but more like a mason jar. I wouldn't get the 16 oz. fill unless I planned on drinking it on the way home or later that evening. I would not let it sit overnight.

The shopping in the BMore area is decent, with a Total Wine and The Wine Source. And there's always Max's...

Just an FYI it won't be worth your time to hit Total Wine, the only thing I have seen at Total Wine that isn't at State Line is some Clown Shoes.

State Line Liquors in MD covers 95% of my beer, followed by taking 45+ minutes to go to Tired Hands, and I will hit stores within 2 miles of home about once a month when I drive by them and looking for something easy to find.

I shop at any Wegmans in the Rochester area or the Hegadorns grocery store in Webster. When in Boston I stop at Craft Beer Cellers in Belmont, which is my favorite store.

ABEs when I want to mix a six and good stuff. If I want like junk beer, I go to any store that sells it cheap.

I guess I can go to abes with that, but, I have this weird sense of embarrassment if I went in for like highlife or pabst.
