Best value: Great Lakes, Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas

Worst value: Mikkeler, Hoppin Frog, FFF (all great breweries, just too expensive to buy on a regular basis)

Surprised to see so many Ballast Points as worst value. I agree that there are plenty of quality ipas better priced than Sculpin, but if a $15 dollar 6-pack of a world-class ipa is the worst value in your area, then consider yourself very lucky.

Worst Value: Against the Grain, Evil Twin, Hoppin Frog.

As for bombers, yes, they are a bad deal. But a really bad deal is a bomber that is almost twice the price of a comparable beer in a bomber format. So my worst values reflect that.

Agreed. It's not a good value, but not worst.

Best for me would be Evo it's semi local, and $9.99 a six for lot3 and lot6
And I guess worst would have to be sarnac

Best Value - Sierra, Lagunitas, Weihenstephaner, and Rodenbach (yes $9.99 for Grand Cru a world class sour ale is beyond amazing considering its peer group pricing)
Worst - Maine, Ballast Point, Firestone, Stone, Bruery... weird that California makes the best and worst value in the US at least what I get in MD pricing.

Actually the Rodenbach Grand Cru at $9.99 at many places for 750ml may be the best priced beer on the planet now that I think of it. It literally is 40-50% off the competition (I really don't know of any big bottle barrel aged sours in the same quality range coming in under $18 at all).

Agree on the Best list- but I'd also add Spaten and Hofbrau to it. Their sixers are crazy-cheap for what you get.

FW and Stone are pretty reasonable here, and they make some faves, so they are just fine by me- not the cheapest, but worth it. The others I totally agree with , though.

That's a bummer to hear, as I always stock up on Bomb! 'cause they're like $6.00 a bottle as compared to like $12.00 for the Avery $12.00 BA stouts. I bet that's more of a distro issue, though.

    Agree with Spaten and Hofbrau.

Both FW and Stone are pricy in my area. At least $2-3 more expensive per sixer than equally rated competitors. Even the FW Pivo that just started distributing in my area (love that Pilsner), runs $11.99 a sixer. Most American craft pilsners run 9.99 as the norm and same for quality German imports (Weihen/Spaten/Hofbrau etc). Steep for a pilsner, but it is good quality.

Bruery is ok for me because I really enjoy it, and if we are going for "value" and not "cheapest", I don't mind paying for a beer that I really enjoy.
