My wife has this totally unreasonable requirement that there be room in the fridge to keep food and milk for the kids. I know, right? I'm allotted one shelf which holds eighteen 12 or 16 oz bottles and then I cheat by sticking two or three 750's on the door behind the coffee. Unless I happen to have driven past Trillium or Jack's Abby in which case I'm willing to hazard a little domestic strife.

I have a few bombers of imperial stouts/barley wines aging, but not much beyond that. When i get to 20+ beers i stop buying more until i get through current stock. Whether it matters or not, I don't like the idea of standard/regular beer getting old.

I have a mini fridge that that I keep at 38 degrees to hold about 30 bottles and 4 bombers. I've converted our chest freezer into a fridge that I keep at 52 degrees where I can store about 12 bombers and 60 more bottles. I also have a lower cupboard in the basement bar area (holds about 36 more beers) to cellar stouts/barleywines for longer periods. Needless to say all are practically full, all the time. I like buying beer, almost as much as drinking it. I stop at my local weekly to replenish and whenever I'm on the road I always hit up any establishments to pick up new stuff that I can't get at home.

I don't think that I have a pattern on how much I buy every week. I have patterns of when I buy stuff as I visit my local bottle shop around the same time every week. My amounts vary and depend on what's going on the rest of the week. Are my local breweries releasing anything I like? Do I have a trip coming up? Do I have the space for it? Recently, I've been curbing my purchases of drink immediately beers (hops) greatly, but I will buy cellarables when I need to. I really haven't had a "I don't have enough beer" issue in a long time.

I probably sound like an asshole but I usually buy new/limited release stuff. If it comes in a 6 or 4 pack I'll buy 1 if I'm unsure. Most of the beers I drink come from trades, online store orders, sharing rare beers with friends, and bars.

When I find the one week old Two Hearted, Founders Centennial, Sculpin - I buy out the shelf and drink them heavily. Also lately have scored a lot of German beer that is within the first month of bottling too.

On top of that, Total Wine has a rewards program and I always get sixpack coupons, so when that one week old Sculpin is $11 or $12, wouldn't you go big too?

Haha I'm lucky enough to know a lot of beer nerds in my area so getting and sharing limited stuff isn't too hard. Just always hear people complaining on here about the guys that only stop into stores for limited releases, and that's (usually, not always) me haha

Hi. I'm RochefortChris and I'm an impulsive beer buyer.

Seriously, I love buying singles and tend to buy beer faster than I can drink it. If something sounds interesting, I have a hard time passing it up. (example; a $9 bottle of a dubbel made with raisins brewed in Brazil I picked up recently and is still sitting in my refrigerator) Very seldom do I buy a sixer unless it's a seasonal or I have a paycheck I have to stretch thin. The occasional seasonal variety twelve pack will show up in my fridge, too.

I visit my local shop 3-4 times per month and tend to stock up when Total Wine has dollar-off-six-pack sales. There's another store in the area that has an awesome sale twice a year; the next sale is a few weeks away so I'm trying to drink down my stash (currently around 4 cases) so that when I come home with a bunch of beer my wife won't be able to say I have too much beer. Who am I kidding though - she'll be thinking it even if she doesn't say it, and I know she's right...

To get a good selection of craft beer, I have to travel roughly 50 miles to either Greenville, SC or Charlotte, NC. Consequently, I usually end up with about 2 cases each trip.

None of the above. I buy mostly growlers for home consumption, with a smaller mix of cans and bottles.

There might be 6 beers in the house total right now. We prefer on premise.

I usually need to resupply my IPA inventory weekly but what I bring home coincidentally varies terrifically. If it's special release season, than that takes my money. If not, mood may strike on nearly anything without rhyme or reason. As for volume, usually a pick 6 of IPAs plus one bomber of something. If the bomber is an IPA than the pick 6 may have a "splurge" stout, barley wine or Samichlaus, but either way, the weekly trip may see nothing move to the cellar or maybe up to two items max. My backlog got out of control this spring/summer so I have been trying to make an effort to keep things at a more manageable level.

I buy in surges. I might buy a six pack or two a few days in a row. Then my supply will dwindle, and a few weeks later I'll buy another 3 six packs and a few more bombers.

But I have kegs of homebrew, and that fridge can hold quite a bit of beer in addition.

have a beer fridge in kitchen can hold 6-7 sixers comfortably, try to keep different styles and buy sixers to supplement when supplies are low.

Other - I don't really subscribe to one school. I have about fifteen BA stouts aging right now, but I don't really count those as stock. I feel as though there is always beer in our apartment, but the amount varies, depending on whether I got some freebies from work, just completed a trade, or am planning to have friends or dates over. I definitely don't keep the fridge full. What's the point of always keeping 36 beers if you can only finish a fraction in a session (although I will say that if there is beer around I will drink it, which isn't always a good thing)? Also, I'd rather drink beer from a fresher six, than one I bought two weeks ago.

I don't think my stock necessarily reflects my buying habits, more so what's going on from week to week. It's constantly changing.

I seem to have ~ 300 bottles. Bottom of my main fridge is for IPAs. Freezer is for my more valuable stuff that I keep around 50 degrees. The spare bedroom has whatever is left sitting in cardboard boxes.

I came back from Philly / VT with at least 75 bottles and I hope that keeps me out of the liquor stores thru Labor Day at least.

i randomly counted a few days ago and I think i have 75 or so bottles in the basement along with a case or various bombers. Most are stouts or things that can age down there a bit. Some shelf items, others limited releases, barrel aged, etc.

I keep very little in the fridge, just like with snacks, if they are there I will eat/drink it. So it is a way I limit myself.

None the less for the poll. I rarely buy full packs anymore. i'll stop into my beer store get a mix of singles and maybe a bomber. Only thing I get packs are are standbys, beginning of summer, 12 pack of oberon, etc. or If I am at a shop where I have to buy the entire thing.
