  1. buy one 6-pack at a time

  2. buy a couple of 6-packs or bombers at a time

  3. continually buy, disregarding how much you have in "stock"

I buy depending on what I'm feeling at the moment, unless i see a new beer I know has good ratings or is harder to find. But I always limit myself... Besides brewery trips, i never spend more than $50 and that's very rare. Today I found 2 bottles of Helldorado for 40 which is a lot. Usually its a $25 trip maybe 1x / week.

I have a decent cellar that ive been stocking up for the winter.. and keep maybe 6 or so dipas in the fridge.

Dinks and dunks over the course of the month - maybe a "haul" every couple of weeks - but this stuff varies. I'd really like to have one store I could shop reliably once a week and not feel like I'm missing out. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

Usually a 6 pack of local beer and a mixed 6 of non-local beers about once a week, plus a nice bomber or two whenever I have the money.

Mini fridge for my "whalez, bro". Man that's bad, but yeah if there's special stuff usually in bombers I'll purchase and keep in the mini fridge. Most of the time I'll grab a growler/Crowler and keep in the fridge for near future consumption. So I guess to answer OP question of buying habits. Buy special stuff when available but I prefer the varieties with a Crowler so I'll mostly go with that. Ounce or twice a week.

I used to live with someone who didn't really drink and I'd only have one six pack at a time +homebrew. Now I live with two heavy drinkers and most of our fridge space is beer. Some sandwich material too.

Never done a trade or online ordering (yet), but lately all I buy is new/limited stuff. I have more than I ever planned on in my cellar. I go to 3 or 4 bottle shops promising myself I am just looking, not going to buy anything. I usually end up walking out with 3 or 4 limited/special beers. I am a sucker for anything "limited or special," beer or food. I have the "I have to try it" impulse, and worry that if I don't buy it, I'll miss out.

The past 6 months to a year, I have almost exclusively bought single bottles. I don't like typical summer beers, so I thought I'd get to revisit my standard favorites, but there have been too many great beers coming out, even in the summer. I always keep a handful of IPAs and DIPAs on hand and drink them fresh, then I have an assortment of BAs, stouts, barleywine and others that can age which I keep planning on thinning out, but I buy faster than I can drink.

You pretty much have all the food groups covered: beer, cream cheese and cheese sticks!

I usually pick up a couple 6 packs of my go to's and keep them in the fridge so I don't drink my rare stuff too fast

I have a full size freezer-less fridge, set at 49 degrees, filled with beer.

I tell myself weekly, I will drink it down, and not buy more.

Beer wound up on the floor the other day after it wouldn't fit in the fridge....

I buy a bunch of 4 and 6pks and bombers of my staples. Sometimes buy the case. Singles of things I'd like to try, provided I have the option of purchasing singles. If I am out of state and I see a beer out of my distribution that is highly regarded that I haven't had I pick up a 6pk.

I have a full size beer fridge....I took 1 shelf out so I have space for bombers...it holds 20 six packs plus 20 bombers on the shelf space...not counting the drawers or door space...I am constantly buying and filling....also trading...I have 5 cases of random singles aging on top of the fridge plus an oversized pantry full of aging bombers...the wife is not happy about this at all...lol

I do have a small beer fridge that I try to keep fairly stocked. Financially, though, I'm not able to constantly buy every beer I want. I get paid weekly, so I usually make 2 trips per week to the store: once on payday to splurge a little and hopefully add to the "cellar", and then again on Friday or Saturday to pick up something easy to drink on the weekend while working outside. This week it was a 6 pack of Founders Centennial, a 4 pack of Bells Two Hearted, and a bottle of Rochefort 6.

I don't buy 6 packs unless I'm taking it to share with other people. Typically I buy singles, I really enjoy trying new beer so I try to maximize my trips to the bottle shop with as many different beers as I can. I do like to revisit beers I enjoy, but I don't usually buy more than one or two at a time. As for how often, it really just depends on the month and how the financial situation is at any given time.

Buy with disregard with what I have in stock. I usually pick up limited releases to keep in the cellar and drink on occasion, and pick up sixes of easy drinkers, like two hearted, centennial etc. Cellar is great to keep a variety of stouts, barleys etc. and it's nice to have a hundred or so in stock with many many options!

    Cheers

My method is simple: fill up the fridge, empty it, fill it back up, repeat.

I buy 2-3 six-packs and as many as 5-6 pints or bombers every 2-3 weeks -- always trying to bring in at least 3-4 different styles. I'll drink that down to the final few bottles/cans, then go shopping. I try not to buy more beer until there's not enough in my fridge to last me two sessions (less than a six-pack). One note -- I'm single and buy mostly for myself.

The only asterisk to that is the "cellar" portion of my fridge where I have a lot of stouts aging. Right now that corner is pretty full, so other than Karbach's new Vanilla BBH, I don't plan on adding to it until winter.

I did bring back a big haul from Jester King earlier this month, but that's a rare occasion thing that I don't do often. All of that beer is tabbed for New Beer Sunday, so it's as if I temporarily added to my "cellar." It's kept my fridge pretty full, but I've whittled it down to half and will do some more whittling this Sunday.

Dedicated beer fridge in garage. Contains every style I like, especially seasonals like Octoberfests and stouts. Generally load up with different fresh IPAs every week. I only buy 6-pacs of solid beers I really like , like GreenHead and Sculpin, as I can drink 2 or 3 of them in one sitting. I'm always trying different brews I've never had, so I only buy singles of those. Shift beers to house fridge to "stage" them for next day drinking. Always have one of each style I like just in case I'm in the mood.

will usually get down to one before I buy more if I am buying a multiple pack. If I am buying just dingles then whenever.

But honestly I rarely if ever have more than twelve beers in the fridge.
