Not in order.
Finally crushed the 2011 Dark Lord I've had for a couple years and it was phenomenal.
If I could go back in time, I'd stock all the Thomas Hardy's Ale I could find...
Pliny the Younger
Can't pick a favorite so I'll go with Trillium Night & Day, KBS and BOMB!
That's an easy one Toppling Goliath Kentucky Brunch.
Where to start. Grey Monday, any bourbon county, FO, Coffee and regular KDS, any firestone barrel aged beer, VR, BAPt5
Rochefort 10 without a doubt at a delicious 11.3%.
Most barrel aged stouts fall over 11%, so just choose one of the better ones at random. Once you narrow it down to the best examples (Parabola, BA Ten Fidy, BCBS, etc.), it's just a crapshoot.
Either Lagunitas High West-ified (13%) or Stone Fyodor's Classic (13%)
This is tough, but I'm gonna have to go with Tweak.
Barrel Aged Shipwreck Porter. Great beer..
Cognac Coffee Dark Lord (15%) or Bourbon Country Brand Coffee Stout (13.4%)... tough to decide between the two.
Pipeworks B.A. The Jones Dog (13%)
Goose Island Proprietors (13.2%)
Goose Island Vanilla Rye (13.6%)
Cigar City Hunahpu (12.7%)
BC 2014 Prop
I had a Serenata Notturna from Crooked Stave over the weekend. Comes in at 12%, and it was phenomenal.
According to my ratings here, my favorite is Alesmith Speedway Stout. I haven't had it in a few years, though.
Also a big fan of FW Parabola and H24 Pugachev's Cobra.
You're in NY, drive to Delaware (a 2-2:30 hour trip). Drink a few at the brewery ($5.75 for a 10oz glass) and crash out at the beach (Rehoboth, Dewey, etc.), it's worth it!
Madeira Black Tuesday
Mother of all Storms
A bunch on the list but the newest is Bells 30th anniversary ale.
Looking at my ratings my top 3 in order
Bourbon County Coffee is my favorite beer of all time. I just had another one last night...
BCBCS (when fresh)
Simtra (when fresh)
BA Vastness of Space
Stone Espresso IRS
Eclipse EC 12yr
All Green Everything
Flying Dog Double Dog
It is good and close but alas it's not 11% - actually is 10.5%
Mornin' Delight - Toppling Goliath
I haven't had that many, but they've all been in the Outstanding or World Class categories, so choosing is nigh on impossible.
In no particular order:
King Henry - GI
BCBS - GI
Wulver - Thirsty Dog
Raison D’Exta - DFH
Palo Santo Marron - DFH
Harvest Ale (2001) - J.W. Lees
Trappistes Rochefort 10
Cuvée Van De Keizer Blauw - Brouwerij Het Anker
Hand & Seal - Brooklyn
Old Stock - North Coast
Very tough as I enjoy large beers but I would have to say BCS and it's variants. Consistently great every time.
Tweak is probably the first one that comes to mind for me
Dogfish Head 120 min IPA
dang am i really the first to say chocolate rain?
by far my fav bruery beer too
Yeah, your right. Then Simtra!
I prefer beers to not be in the 11+ range, but my answer is Aventinus Eisbock.
chocolate rain was the sh*t.
Beer Engineers Peanut Butter Porter
Double barrel jesus
Dang, there's just too many.
Helldorado = tastes like coconut creme pie
