So, rather than just ask folks to list the seven BEST beers they have ever drank, I want to propose a little thought experiment in which each reply will list 7 beers that they love.... but not necessarily the best seven beers they've ever had. Here's how it works.

    THE STORY
Let's say that you are out on a cruise in the Pacific and your boat sinks mid ocean. You miraculously wash ashore on a tropical island. After a few weeks you find a few sources of food and some fresh water. You forge some shelter out of some nearby flora, and you have a pretty decent set-up going. You even find the island's only other human inhabitant who happens to be a gorgeous island babe (or handsome, brawny Pacific islander dude-- whatever your preference is) who is able to satisfy your deepest carnal desires on a daily, and nightly, basis. Life is good. But after some time, you find yourself craving a good brew.

    THE MYSTERIOUS DEVICE
You are out scavenging one day and happen upon a mysterious object. It looks to be some unknown alien technology, or at the very least, technology that humans will not discover for quite some time. Now you putz around with the device for a bit and discover that you can enter a beer into one of the seven slots and the machine will produce an endless supply of it. This machine produces ANY beer that you enter into it, and it produces as much as you want. What a godsend! But there is a catch. You can only enter SEVEN different beers into it. And once you enter a certain beer into the machine, you can't go back and change the beer. So what ever seven beers you want the machine to produce, those are the seven beers that you will drink for the rest of your life. So choose carefully.

    WHY?
I figured it would be fun to come up with this "thought experiment" because I wanted to hear what you think are seven beers that you would want to drink for the rest of your life. Not the SEVEN GREATEST BEERS EVER. You may want to make sure that most of your particular cravings are satisfied in this endeavor. If you are a huge fan of stouts who occasionally craves a pils, you had better reserve one of the slots for your favorite pils. Do you enjoy Belgian trappist ales the most, but Sierra Nevada Torpedo is your go to brew? You see where I'm going....

The lists are to be presented in no particular order. Have fun.

    Here's mine...

    1. Trappistes Rochefort 6
    2. Torpedo (Sierra Nevada)
    3. Enjoy By (Stone)
    4. Scrimshaw (North Coast)
    5. Ten Fidy (Oscar Blues)
    6. Guinness Draught
    7. Tripel Karmeliet

This is the most elaborate "what are the X beers you would have for the rest of your life" question. I like the creativity lol.

    Kellerweis
    Gudenhoppy
Fight the Power Cider (if that counts); If not Rubaeus.
    White Oak Jai Alai
    Founders Imperial Stout

I like the idea of not naming WHALEZ, but just good beers. I think I'd be content with this. It brings a good variety of malts, hops, and an addition of sweetness.

Man, Clare's Thirsty is a beer I still think about from time to time. I suppose I could switch out the Hef for a BA Stout, but either way I'm pretty happy. Looks like I've come a long way, there was a time when all 7 would be a stout of some sort.

In no particular order... Just based on what i've had (obviously)

    1. De Struise Cuvee Delphine (Tied with Hel & Verdoemenis, so if i ever get to try black damnation it would probably be that....)
    2. Bruery Rueuze (because a sour would be nice every now and then)
    3. Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen (i'm assuming we're stuck on an island, right? sounds great to me... are these beers fresh?)
    4. Rochefort 8 (because 10 would get to be too much)
    5. Stiegl Radler (phenomenal beverage... especially if im gonna be stuck on an island.)
    6. De Proef Broederlijke Liefde (the most awesome saison to ever exist)
    7. Thirsty Dog Wulver (might become overbearing.... maybe something like old chub.... would definitely want a scotch ale, but i'm not sure which one i would want to drink all the time)

Can you tell i'm not a hop head?

Fun spin on a good question.

    Focal Banger
    Mexican Cake
    Bitches Bank
    Zombie Dust
    Blood Orange Gose
    Jungle Boogie
    Coconoats

That's was actually pretty hard. Got my APA, IIPA, 2 great stouts, a nice coconut wheat, Jungle Boogie is just ridiculously delicious for anytime and the gose for a salty mood. Wish I've had more Belgians so I could pick a sour but I really need to broaden my horizons more into it.
