Not my style of choice, but FW Sucaba is one I like and an oddball I tried recently was Coop Territorial Reserve, which was really smooth.

Central Waters also makes a terrific BA Barley Wine. Yet BCBBW is in a league all its own.

So far, English is Mother of All Storms, Leon, and BCBBW. And for American, I'm thinking Founder's Bolt Cutter and Hangar 24's Hammerhead.

Central Waters Brewers Reserve Barrel Aged Barleywine Ale
    Bell's Saturn

These are both English style Barleywines and so have a softer hop presence. I find I don't care for the more pronounced hoppiness of the American style as typified by Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, Stone Old Guardian or Full Sail Barleywine Ale. Deschutes Mirror Mirror falls in between the two styles, especially as it ages and begins to taste more like the English style.

Bourbon County Barleywine wins. Sucaba, Almanac Heirloom Pumpkin Barleywine, Midnight Sun Arctic Devil, The Bruery Smooth Criminal, Jack's Abby Bride Maker, and Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Barleywine are all fine options though. I do have a bottle of A Deal with the Devil I've yet to crack that I'm pumped for, and would kill to try Cigar City Leon and Hill Farmstead Aaron.

    Straight Jacket
Double Date (technically a quad according to GI, but tastes like a great English barleywine)
