Your Favorite Beer Drinking Game?

In my younger years, I used to love power hour. Essentially, you drink a shot of beer every minute for an hour. To keep track, we would create a 60 minute playlist of 1 minute snippets of our favorite songs.

 

Rembemer people playing Zoom. I didn't. I just drank! Anyone else remember this game?

I was once told about a Finnish drinking game; two participants, each drinks a full bottle of Vodka, one climbs into a cupboard and they have to guess which one is in the cupboard.

I also take my drinking very seriously, If you are playing beer pong and there´s a guy at the dark corner holding some fancy glassware and judging you, that might be me.

 

My favorite drinking game is cooking and watching sports, because I'm not fourteen.

 

College years:
1) Beer Golf (we would do two-person scrambles in the frat house, each room was a different hole on the course and would pick the game/rules for that particular room... good times)

Now that I have a big-boy job and responsibilities and bills and all the trappings of adult life:
1) Drink a beer watching whatever live sporting event is on the telly while trying to stay awake until the end

 

Ha, I graduated from IU and played this a few times. While entertaining, this game can get a little disgusting... just make sure all players are washing their hands after the multiple bathroom trips everyone will surely need to make. Some sort of tongs might help so players don't have to stick their hands in the bucket to get the cup out.

 

If you ever find yourself in a "civilized wilderness" area (think lake house, cabin near the woods, etc) in the summer/fall, you may or may not have a bug zapper around. Each time you hear that thing go off, take a drink. The great thing is, you don't necessarily have to be paying attention or even be all that close to the zapper and you'll still hear it go off. This was simply coined the "Hillbilly Drinking Game."

Poor bugs... pour one out (in your mouth) for your homies.

 

I also graduated from Indiana University. Perhaps about the time some of you others were born. I notice everyone on this thread is calling it "Sink the Biz." Perhaps you know this, but that's the shortened name. Back in the dark ages thinks weren't so rushed so we had time to use the full name, "Sink the Bismark." So if you didn't know that, there's a bit of trivia for you.

My favorite game is the "Big Brother Drinking Game." If Big Brother comes on TV, I throw all my empty beer bottles at it.

There was some game my brother played at IU (generally with sorority girls). It was absolutely disgusting. Something about drinking a pitcher in the middle of the table that had all kinds of nasty stuff in it and the King of Hearts. The only time I tried to play, the police showed up before I learned the rules. Kind of a buzz kill.

 

Beer pong, Asshole, Fuck you, and the MacGruber drinking game (drink every time they say any form of his name, Grubs, Mac.. You'll be feeling nice 10 minutes in). Haven't played them in years though, now that I'm older when I get to play a game it's typically Kan Jam while holding a beer at a barbecue.

 

My buddies and I invented a game in college called Murder. Basically, you'd draw a card from a deck and the value of that card was how many seconds you had to drink for. You'd play until the deck was gone. Three player. Games lasted for about 20 minutes and generally emptied about 25-30 Bud Lights.

We played once and then didn't drink for like a month afterwards.

 

Here is a game for parents. When we have a neighborhood get together we would play. The parents sit and watch the kids play. If your kid comes up and whines.... you drink.

(Sammy comes waddling up) "Drew took my shovel!!" All of the parents look at Sammy's mom. She drinks. We laugh. It is simple and really satisfying.

 

Beer pong. Will always love that game.

Big Lebowski drinking game (so many variations of it - they are all fun, and gives me an excuse to watch one of my favorite comedies again).

 

Can't wait to try this one in a couple years!

 

Don't Drink and Drive was a good one too. Had to finish a beer before finishing a race on Mario Kart 64 but you couldn't have your controller and your beer in your hand at the same time. Loser had to finish another one before the next race.

 

I like the one where I just chill at a bar and enjoy my beverage.
