Just after I finished my post i saw yours. Although NJ rules may differ slightly (also the fact that we called it minesweeper), thats basically the idea, except that game was only for beer nights. If we switched to "harder stuff" after failing the quarter thing 3 times, people would be dead. And here i thought all this time my friend made this shit up. Great game.

 

We used to do the same to Thunderstruck, running through a circle of people, one person at a time drinks...except you had to waterfall until the NEXT time Thunderstruck was sung. I hated that game.

 

Also i used to play quarters a lot then my father in law got pissed there were dents in his table.

 

Besides the usual suspects during the college years, my friends and brothers loved to play tiger woods golf on the PS3 while drinking. This was before I discovered craft. Get a par - social drink; hit OB, tree or hazard - you drink; get a bogey or worse - you shotgun beer; get a birdie, everyone else drinks; get an eagle or better - everyone else shotguns beer. My brother got so s@@tfaced at my house one Christmas Eve, his wife didn't let him come back over for over two years. Ah, memories. I think I might have to give him a call.

 

Wow, I was unaware that anyone else played this game. I've never been so excited about a pig standing on its nose...

 

I can never go wrong with beer pong. I love beer, but I'm not a fan of just getting hammered off of it. Pong is grwt because you can play it whenever, wherever and it fits for whatever event. It's a fun game that can be played just to chill out and have a blast or to get intense.

 

"Drink the Beer" from Family Guy. I would include a video of it, but the whole post would just be deleted, and somewhere, a virgin will be thrown into a volcano because of it.

I enjoy the yearly game of flip cup at my buddies summer party. Action packed team silliness.

 

Great game once played by me now I watch others play..it's called College Football...I grab a bunch of great beers, put them in a cooler, grab my remote, turn on the tv and don't move much...fun!!

 

I remember trying to stretch a power hour into a century (100 shots in 100 minutes) a few times..... predictably the results were disastrous.

1) Beersbie most recently.
2) still proud to be Beer Pong champ in my house at NIU.
3) Used to love playing Zoomie - Where everyone has their own signal and when another person uses it they have to acknowledge and do someone elses signal to pass along. First one to screw up drinks.
4) THUNDERSTRUCK - Best pre-game game especially when theres 10+ people in a circle and have it going both ways.

This was a good one. We played this at UConn in the mid 80's too. It's how I learned to drink beer (which I didn't like).

Speed Quarters. Two shot glasses, two quarters, everyone has a drink. You make the quarter into the shot glass you can point to anyone and say drink. They cannot shoot the quarter until they do (if a shot glass is in front of them). If both shot glasses catch someone, they pound about 20-24 oz of beer. With "world class" quarter players, as many of us became, we could miss on purpose until the shot glasses came almost together an cause others to fail (mostly females if possible).

Deadly game: Hi Bob. Watch Newhart and drink every time they say "Bob".
Most deadly game: The Grinch. Watch the Grinch (original cartoon) and drink on every "who". Think about that for a minute.

 

You cann't beat a good game of flip cup.
