Foley Brothers had a 1 off about a decade ago. BA Red. Rusty Musket go put that into urban dictionary
Barabooberry by A.L. Ringling Brewing Company in Baraboo, WI The brewery is in the old summer home of A.L. Ringling. Yes, the circus guy. There's also a circus museum in Baraboo, WI. And for the beer cranks... But Is It Traditional? by Ope! Brewing Company in West Allis, WI. It's a Kolsch, but is it really if it's not made in or around Koln?
Yes. It's a Kolsch! And I will die on the hill for American Pilsner. It's a sub-style that is a stumbling block for purists. Like, "if it's not from the Champagne region of France then it's Sparkling Wine" kind of attitude. Completely and utterly ignored.
Yep. Craziness. Upland Brewing in Bloomington, IN has been brewing the old Champagne Velvet beer for a while now.
Miller should open a small brewery in the accept champagne producing region and produce "The Biere of Champagne"
Swish by Bissell Brothers. As a hoop head it is one of the best sounds in the world and also one of the great beer names imo
The late, great Farmhouse Brewery had a bunch of them . Favorite? Probably this one : Sweet Fancy Moses [wheat wine] Not the name so much as naming to set up the tag line (on the label) Dunkel Cletus Cuke Skywalker a cucumber gose Don't Miss a Beet a beet saison Peat and Repeat Scotch ale
One more The tap room was in Owego Just remembered another, from Beer Tree : Boysen Back In Town A boysenberry sour IPA . They didn't say but it tasted as if it had Michigan Copper in it. Balanced the rest ~perfectly. Unfortunately a one-off. (I did have the song going through my head when I drank it. ) Ah ...... just found Dunkel Cletus photo.
Years ago, during Trump 1, the much missed Earth Bread and Brewery in Mt. Airy, Philadelphia (which closed after Covid), had a saison called "Very Stable Genius."
I always liked La Cumbre's "Beer" They started making it at a time when craft adjunct lagers weren't really a thing, and it tells the right story.
Reminds me that Southern Tier had two. As far as I could tell it was the same beer , just gave it different names each time they did it. (& I wish they would brew it again. It was good.) Why The Helles Not? Where The Helles Summer?
