    Taking into consideration beer culture, not just beer quality:

    1. Michigan (I love my state, what can I say, we make awesome beer here)
    2. Illinois (Gotta love Chicago.)
    3. Colorado (Cycling + beer culture is awesome)
    3.1 Oregon (Portland food + beer heaven, feels a lot like Grand Rapids but less conservative)
    3.2 And a special nod towards North Carolina for Asheville. (A city is great to me when almost all of the breweries are within walking distance of each other)
    3.3 California (Natural beauty, opportunity for beer + adventure is awesome)
