We all know cans are for the outdoors. I want to know what your favorites are straight from the bottle.

Scenarios like today. I'm golfing (and I golf like schitt) but I decide I'm buying 3 sixers for the 4 guys playing in our group who all enjoy "craft." I buy a sixer of Pale 31, a sixer of Sculpin (best by 9/20) and a sixer of Ruthless Rye. As everyone in the golf group are BAs, we were shocked to find our unanimous favorite from the bottle was Ruthless, even though after we were done and poured into a glass, we all preferred Sculpin.

Has anyone else found extreme measures provide uncommon results?

I don't really drink beers from the bottle, but would have to say Corona is the only one I can think of that works for me.

I used to play cards with a guy who drank bombers of Hop Rod Rye from the bottle. Another friend -- a female friend -- drank 2 750ml bottles of Chimay Red from the bottle during breakfast while camping one time. I still think that's pretty bad ass.

Anchor Steam. A beer that's better in the bottle than on tap in my opinion.

I'm really enjoying my IPAs cold and straight from the bottle these days, whereas before I would only drink them room temp/slightly chilled and poured into a glass.

After having drank nothing but Summer Love at the last two concerts I went to (Anti-Flag and Frank Turner ftw) I'll go with that by default since it's rare I don't use a glass.

That sounds like the only way I wouldn't enjoy a MZ.

I honestly think Enjoy By is better out of the bottle than on tap. I've noticed it on multiple occasions and a couple friends have too.

Something that's inexpensive because you're really not tasting that beer completely.

Breckenridge Avalanche Ale. I don't know. I'm not even sure I've ever drank a microbrew ftom anything other than an appropriate pint glass. I'll drink shitty macros ftom the bottle.

Mickey's. 'Cos, grenades, man. Or anything of inferior quality handed to me at a social gathering. I'm not gonna be 'that guy' and ask for a pint glass for my Bud or Coors. However, if I'm at home and it's my beer, the 'out of the bottle' thing doesn't happen, just...well, 'cos. I have about 50 billion different glasses around here, may as well use one.
