Haven't swilled straight from the bottle for quite some time now, but classically we enjoyed a straight Sam Adam's Summer Ale from the bottle. I know it's not very exciting, but it can certainly hit that sweet spot.

FW DBA is great from the bottle. As far as pouring a beer changing the flavors for better or worse, little yella pilswas that way for me. I was trying to like that beer for a long time. On tap and poured into a glass from the can, the beer just wasn't coming together for me. Then I tried it straight from the can. Can't get enough of it now. Next heady topper I get my grimy hands on is going to be consumes from the can because of this.

Too bad you're in CA. A cold sixer or CCB Helles goes down nicely from the can on a hot day

I tend to really like A Little Sumpin' Sumpin' straight from the bottle when the mood strikes. Usually if I buy a six pack of it I end up drinking around half of it straight from the bottle. Awesome beer, and still awesome when you don't pour it into a snifter, weird.
