    Woops. Forgot the "why" part of the original question... "zwickel" sounds a bit silly and I enjoy the "zw" sound. Need more zwords like that.

    I had a dog named Kirby who had a flatulence problem (silent but deadly). When I brewed my first Schwarzbier, I just had to name it after him. Kirby's Schwarz. If only I would have added some smoke to it. Ooo-la-la!

    You left me in the dark with that linalool word so I had to look it up. It has a nice ring to it that's bound to impress that special beer-loving person. :wink:

    For anyone else in the dark: a fragrant liquid alcohol C10H18O that occurs both free and in the form of esters in many essential oils and is used in perfumes, soaps, and flavoring materials.

    I was always partial to "angels' share" for its ethereal overtones. It's a generous "angels' share" that gives your BBA imperial stouts that stellar "barrel character."
