I love Brown ale as a little caramel never harmed anybody

Since I've discovered the US Craft ale scene I've wanted to try a Texan brown ale & not yet managed to
Closest has been Dark Horse's Boffo and that would be one of my top Brown's

My all time favourite is Kernel, it has a bit of a chicory taste and gives it an amazing..
.. slight diversion rather than new direction.

Though I must mention Shut Thi Gob which combines a traditional North England Brown
with a traditional Northern English phrase (translated as shut your mouth)
and is sold within 500 yards of my home at 89p ($1.35) for a 500ml bottle!

    DFH - Indian Brown Ale
    Avery _Elies
    Bell's - Best Brown
    Brooklyn - Brown ale

and the amazing Yada, Yada, Yada,

form local brewery Barrage. This is a brown ale made with Snickers Bars. Nere thought it'd work, but Amazing flavor and not over the top at all. Draft only at the moment, but bombers are coming soon.:

Pretty Things did a 1950's version that was super. Don't think I've had the 1930's version yet.

Barrage is on Allen Blvd in Farmingdale. Tiny. Top notch brews from IPA's to stouts. The Yada is pretty incredible.

If anyone happens to hit Seattle they must seek out:

Holy Mountain - King's Head Brown
    Reuben's - American Brown

Two of the better breweries in Seattle and taprooms you shouldn't miss.

The Smuttynose Durty is drinking very well right now, what a fantastic seasonal from them....it should almost be classified as a "Brown IPA", if ever that were a category. Kind of along the lines as DFH Indian Brown.

Brown ales were my first love and I still do really dig a good one. Anchor- Brekles Brown is really good, unique taste. Pretty Things-Saint Botolph's Town is also very very tasty. Honorable mentions- Smuttynose Durty and Brown Dog are both great and as mentioned DFH Indian Brown.
