I had been in Munich in 2007 watching soccer, drinking beer, seeing friends ( my avatar is in a Munich Bier garten). Ayinger was promoting Jahrhundert and that rekindled my love of beers.

Returned in 2010 and won a bet which was dinner at the restaurant adjacent to the SAyinger brewery. For that reason, Ayinger is my favorite German brewer. Cannot go wrong with anything from Weihenstephaner or Andechs. For American brewed German style beers, I really like Jack’s Abby and Von Trapp.

    Prosit!

I had a Weistephaner Hefe on tap for the first time ever, completely blows away any bottled version I've ever had. At Barleys in Asheville on Friday night. That beer was incredible.

I've been drinking Jack's abbey copper legend like it's going out of style. I enjoy festbiers and maibocks. Prost maibock is my go to spring seasonal.

Dale, it sounds like you had a beer from a fresh keg.

I really like Weinhenstephaner Hefeweizen when I can find it fresh.

    Cheers!
