Not looking for Huna or Mexican Cake or Abraxas or Space Ghost here.

I'm curious to see what the best chile stouts that fly under the radar are. Do you guys have any recommendations? Stuff you've been digging lately or return to every year?

The only parameter here is that it is categorized as a stout and brewed with some form of peppers.

Not really under the radar anymore, but mine would be Malevolence Chocolate Caliente by Spiteful. I say not under the radar because the BA version became an insta-whale when it was bottled. I like Vlad the Conquistador as well, but Caliente definitely takes it.

That Spiteful brew is supposed to be fantastic. I'll see what I can manage. Thanks.

Wrecking Bar Mexican Siberius Maximus. Draft only, but it gets tapped at the brewpub on the 5th of every month and kicks pretty quickly. Occasionally shows up at a good beer festival.

Fieldwork's Hot Chocolate is a delicious brew. Upfront it is all chocolate and the spiciness slowly hits you in the back of throat. The heat picks up the more you drink.

I saw Austin Beerworks got a label approval from TABC for El Sputniko. I'm super stoked to try that when it's released. IF they let it out of their brewpub.

Odd Side Mayan Mocha Stout. There's also a barrel aged version that's a limited release, but the non BA I'm pretty sure is a year round.
