Looking forward to it! PS if ever in Seattle, Stoup makes an absolutely perfect pils too.

My favorite Pils comes from Old Mecklenburg, really great stuff, a bit bready, I'm assuming more typical for a true German Pils. Sunshine Pils, great stuff too, much different than OMB but a really great beer. If I could get this here it would be in my fridge.

Unfiltered Pilsner Urquell on tap in the brewery caves

I could possibly live on these beers alone.

Troegs distributes to Virginia so hopefully it will be coming to North Carolina soon?

Sunshine Pils is indeed a very tasty German style Pilsner.

    Cheers!

Pilsner is probably my favorite style of beer, all things considered. Many, many examples to choose from, including bottle, can and draught. This style lends itself to local offerings, as well as "not so fresh" imported examples, In My Opinion. Such a crisp, bready, hoppy, refreshing beer. The golden color in a fine vessel is unparralled. (sic). A thing of excuisite beauty. The Czechs and Germans make the best, but we Americans are learning and are not far behind.

Victory Braumeister pils. Best I ever had was made with imported German Hallertau hops. From what I understand Hallertau hops grown in Hallertau are the best.

maybe not the best out there, but one of my favorites on top has to be Braumeister Pils

These beers do not define Victory as a brewery or Bill as a brewer; Bill creates perfect German styles released on draft only at the brewery. That's his forte- traditional German styles. He also creates a magnificent Root Beer traditional to the sweet, malt heavy German style. You're missing out, but I am also spoiled rotten being as close as I am.

Had Firestone Walker Pivo Pils from the bottle. It was good. Had it on tap. One of the most enjoyable drinking experiences I've ever had.

Locally, I'm fond of Julian Price Pilsner from Wedge Brewing here in Asheville.
A lot of good suggestions in this thread nationally. Have S/N Nooner in my fridge at the moment, pretty good stuff.
