Your Favorite Place to Drink

Now that Im a little older my favorite place to drink is my couch plain and simple. When I was younger my favorite place to drink was the woods behind my house on a nice summer night with my best friend. I miss those nights so bad. What I wouldnt give for just one more night drinking in the woods. A handle of cheap vodka and a little weed. Some of the best times of my life.

The selection is always good and the price can't be beat.

 

Home is great. But I love discovering new bars and breweries in other cities. It's fun to walk around and check the place out.

 

I kinda like sitting up in bed watching the tube and drinking a cold beer. But having a brewery fresh beer from a local brew pub is my next favorite place.

Closer to home, in "my chair" parked right in front of my stereo.

 

Either at my beach house or in my backyard when I have the fire pit going.

 

In my living room, In the recliner posted up with a fat bag of hooch. But my local watering hole was Mr Beerys Sarasota FL. Good prices good people. But now im also in search of cool places I just moved to the Boulder area and haven't been going out.

At home while the gf drinks her wine, passes out and I can drink some more. Of course a bar with over 20 taps is ideal, someone's got to drive home.

 

While I do love to explore new places for craft beer, my favorite will always be around the campfire, on a nice fall evening.

Frisbee Golf course, any frolf course... Favorite place.

 

Outdoors, in the evening, with friends. The two local pubs I liked went out of business.

 

The Couch!

 

New favorite: a nice warm evening outside on the patio/biergarten at the Holy Grale in Louisville.

Old favorite (from when I lived in Lexington during law school): a tie between the Beer Trappe, followed closely by the outdoor patio at Pazzo's, just on the edge of UK's campus, especially during football season. Miss those days.

Honorable mention: the Dixie Chicken in College Station, Texas, right across from Texas A&M's campus - didn't have a great selection of beer (would go to O'Bannon's Taphouse down the street for that) but man the Chicken got crazy wild at night during the couple of summers I spent down there. Super cheap pitchers and pool tables, good times.
