I divide the year into "sweaty" and "not sweaty." The majority of the year seems to fall into the first, with a short burst of the second.

Storm King is excellent if you leave it in your hot garage for 2-3 years. Nasty hot cooler water is optional. I'm being serious.

Ended up doing a Ten FIDY weekend of sorts -- had a fresh can, a 2012 can from the cellar, and a snifter of the Maker's Mark BA FIDY at the Downtown Saucer. I like it fresh, love it with at least a year on it, and the Maker's one was divine.

I'm a year round stout drinker as well.

Prairie Bomb would be my year round stout if I could get it on a regular basis. But others I stick to are FBS, Ten Fidy, BCS, Buried Hatchet, and Narwhal.

If I'm at a bar with a NITRO selection Old Rasputin, LH Milk Stout, and Deschutes Obsidian are all gotos. Velvet Merlin is always great too. Ten Fidy and Blvd Dark Truth are nice 4 pack options for home.

Sam Adams Merry Mischief seems to have mellowed out well. Just opened a 2012 bottle and the spices have mellowed nicely into the Belgian dark base. Recommended that you pop one open if you've got it.
