CC is. If you like it better than Crown Royal or whatever passes these days for "good" Canadian whiskey, then it is. Myself, I've had my passport to Canada revoked and I can no longer partake of their 80 proof offerings.

I've got nothin' but love for Lone Star beer up here in MO. It's cheap, easy to find, and the least offensive of the AALs'. The perfect lawn mower beer!

My one grandfather drinks manhattans mostly, but he always has Yuengling in the fridge. and my other grandfather likes whiskey and he always has miller lite in the fridge because they are low ABV.

At the time he only drank German beer as he said the American ones tasted like crap. Mainly drank scotch. He would love the beer scene now. RIP.

You might be surprised. I'm a Gramps myself and I've run the gamut of beer from Schaefers and Stag to Labatt to Augsburger to FBS, Pliny and Prairie Bomb. We might be old dawgs, but we ain't too old to learn some new tricks!

One grandfather from Luxembourg drank exclusively Budweiser here in the states, it makes me question what he drank in EU being stuck between Belgium & Germany, because although great beer over there, he preferred his Budweiser warm...gross.

Papaw drank home brew because of the Volstead Act. Out in the shed at the back of the lot. He bought his stuff at the hardware store and bottled it himself. After hooch became legal again when they went out he drank whatever was on draft. Lot of Burger and Gambrinus around here in the old days.

Never knew either of my grandfathers. My dad's father abandoned his wife and five young children in about 1951. I know he drank whatever he could get his hands on. My mother's father was a U.S Army Major, 31st Infantry, 7th Division during the Korean War. He was killed in action on November 29th, 1950 while fighting along side his men during the Battle of Chosin Reservior where they were encircled by 67,000 Chinese in bitter cold weather. Survivors said that he stayed behind directing men to a safe trail out. His remains are still in North Korea, which has once again banned the U.S. from bringing remains back home for DNA identification. I don't know what he drank or even if he drank at all. I hope he had the opportunity to enjoy a beer every now and then.

Grandpa Vern drank Cold Spring beer from Cold Spring, MN. Poured it in a glass, then added salt.

Canadian whiskey. I don't know why. But it sure tasted good when I was sneaking it out of the cabinet when I was 13. Nowadays he drinks Yuengling with ice because God knows why.
