Dos Equis lager with lime. Springs and summers (even now) can get a bit hot. Sometimes I want something that isnt putting me into a drunken slumber within an hour. Throwing back a few ice cold lagers as I cut the lawn or do some yard work is quite refreshing. When heat reaches 90 degrees, not much is refreshing. Im surprised craft survives during the summer months. I think that's my off peak time. I feel I mainly switch to sodas and water. So lagers fit right in there. A hangover while sweating is not cool. So I guess I have some motivation there.

I seem to be able to pick up that weird adjunt corn flavor with the coors lights, bud lights, and the like. So Dos Equis at least feels a bit more "clean" if that makes sense

I agree with the lagers in the summer. Yeungling for me is a mainstay in my fridge in the summer. That and Sam Adams summer ale is quite delicious. Those two beers will always remind me of college summers and just chillin with the guy.

I stand by Bud Light even though that's heresy around here. You?

No, I do not stand by Bud Light.:sunglasses:

But I have been known to take a stroll down memory lane with a Miller Lite...not really smiling though.

I occasionally go back to Rolling Rock, as it's what got me into beer.

Stroh's, Keystone Light, Old Miluakee's Light, Busch, or even the occasional 40 of Cobra if I'm feeling nostalgic. I'm a college student currently, so those are often purchased out of sheer budget necessity. Also, regardless of whether or not a certain beer is "unpopular or "considered heresy", who cares as long as you enjoy it? Why waste time and $ to gain the acceptance of strangers? Just do you, man.

Natty Daddy. It gets almost nothing but hate here, but I find it has a fairly pleasant taste. When I just want a lawnmower or party beer, for the price around here it can't be beat.

Considering that an AB-InBev buyout just happened and some people refuse to buy any beer associated with such things, I imagine Devil's Backbone might fall into this category for some. Have half a six-pack of Gold Leaf Lager in the fridge and just added a six-pack of Skull-Crushing Ape tonight... it's a brewery that's located ~10 miles from my house and I like most of their beer enough to buy it again and again, so I'm not going to stop buying their beer unless their beer suddenly stops being good!

As for the "cheap macro" type beers, I was surprised by how decent PBR was the last time I had it (and several times have considered getting the $8-and-some-change twelve-pack only to end up going for something else instead... it'll happen someday I'm sure), and was even more surprised (after hearing of malt liquor's reputation as cheap nasty chemical-y tasting stuff that's only for hobos looking to get drunk quick) to find that Country Club Malt Liquor was not only drinkable, but something I'd prefer to any "light" beer and most of the standard macro lagers. Heineken gets a lot of hate around here but I thought it was pretty good, though mine was from a can and totally un-skunked (vs. from a green bottle) so maybe that makes the difference.

Classic Miller High-Life, just something about that unique taste! Do they still use those small 8 oz bottles? Those minis always stayed nice & cold right to the end!

I regularly drink Miller High Life and Yuengling when I don't want to get drunk, usually at band rehearsals or when I'm doing homework. And I'm also a fan of Mexican beer sans Corona.

I like to go fishing. I can't ever see myself drinking a RIS, or a DIPA during that activity. If it works for you, great. That's when I crave a Stroh's, Schlitz, or Coors.

Negra Modelo. Also, Boston Lager seems to be unpopular in BA.

Genesee Cream Ale, Stroh's and Coors Banquet. It should be noted that these beers aren't unpopular amongst the general population. They aren't held in high regard here, though. Probably because they are terrible.
