    I've given two ratings of a 5.

    Schneider Weisse Aventinus Weizen-Eisbock, easily at once the most intensely-flavored and complex beer I've ever had. Given that it's TAP6 Aventinus concentrate, that makes sense.

    Ayinger Brau-Weisse, which is to me the perfect hefeweizen, edging out even Weihenstephaner. Everything about it says "paragon of beer" to me.

    Rounding out my top five, all at a 4.85 or better, are Abt 12, Rochefort 10, and Wulver.

    Tie between Blot Out the Sun and Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale. Of course, they are rated with their respective styles in mind. In terms of picking a favorite, BOtS has been my favorite beer so far.

    Heady Topper was a perfect 5 for me. Of course it helps that I popped my first can beside a rocky creek in Warren, VT. Transcendent experience.
