    I never rate a beer a perfect 5, I don't think it's possible.

Hate to be cliché, but it's Heady. Guess I'm a bit of a tough grader though, because I only rated it 4.65.

I haven't had KBS but I love the whole product with the LH MS Nitro on draft, texture, low ABV, nice chocolate tastes. I just find it as a well crafted beer vs people either just putting a bunch of junk together or throwing it in a barrel. No matter how well crafted the beer is people are going to give Barrel beers and hoppier higher ratings whether they deserve it or not.

    Everybody has their own favorites.

For me it is Firestone Walker XVIII (18th) anniversary strong ale (4.78). Had a taste of it at the brewery tap room in Paso and wanted to give it a 5 on the spot but reserved my judgment to having it later in a bottle and reviewed it. It is amazing. Although I haven't had Sucaba, I have some 2015 in the cellar that I am saving for a special occasion. Maybe my top choice will change; who knows

You can disregard like 98% of my beer reviews, but I do stand behind my one "5" : Andechser Doppelbock. It's a malt fan's dream beer.

I only do reviews and I just started recently (14 beers so far), but my top beer is Deschutes Obsidian Stout at 4.72. It has the perfect, savory combination of dark chocolate, black licorice, rich toffee, and a little breadiness. The lingering flavor reminds me of a roasted chocolate-covered espresso bean.

For a beer that isn't a legend like KBS or Pliny, it is pretty damn exceptional.
