some bourbon county variant on christmas eve then about 2 dozen old style on christmas day playing beer pong as is the tradition in my family. ive got a title to defend

 

Let's see, for when my bro's come up for Christmas it's always a sampling party sponsored by me.
Three Floyd's Gumballhead and Zombie Dust, Alpha King, Yum Yum
New Glarus Moon Man, Spotted Cow, Coffee Stout, Dancing Man Wheat
As many other one offs that I make them sample until we finish from Founder's, Bell's and too many others that I have forgotten to mention. I think this year I am sticking with a lot of stuff that they may not have had a chance to sample since they are from out of my area. Looking forward to this, and making my dad try to choke down some of these things that I am sure his palate has never touched--it's priceless!!

 

Drinking... a lot.

 

This year we had planned a two-day Thanksgiving party, but the Wednesday snowstorm put an end to that; the bottom line is we have left-over beers that we didn't get to. Those have been put aside for Christmas Day- a few Backwoods Bastards, BA Narwhal, even a BCBS or two. The only thing I need to get now are some "normal" beers; I'm hoping we have Hop Ranch in NJ by then, but if not then there are plenty of others to choose from.

I haven't planned out too many special beers, but I will be drinking a Raspberry Eisbock on Christmas Day and Fou' Foune instead of champagne to ring in the new year, both coming from the best regular trade partner I've come across and all around awesome guy, @Filabee

 

My plan is drink a lot...

I had an idea for New Year's Eve and Day to drink one each of the entire FW 2014 vintage reserve beers while partying and watching football. ( Parabola, Sucaba, Stickee, ect) in order of release but I might die. So ill think about it.

 

good to see the St. Bernardus Christmas ale mentioned often, i too have one ready for Christmas Eve, i'd like to get some Delerium Christmas for Christmas Day which i had with my son last year, good tradition to keep going

 

2013 Bourbon Abominable followed by 2014 Bourbon Abominable... Sense a pattern?
