I will have 25 people for dinner next saturday. I just finalized my beer. My plan is to have one open with 1 oz tasting glasses. A full pour is then available for all the beers.

    The list

    Union Jack Growler
    DFH 61
    New Belgium Terroire Growler
    home brew Harvest ale
    Home made dry Cider
    Old Chubb
    Brown Sugga (sp?) from Lagunitas
    Oyster Stout from Flying Dog
    Old Rasputin Growler

That should get everyone feeling no pain

I'm hosting a Hanukkah party for neighbors and friends this week, like many of you i'm known as the beer guy in my circle of friends so i don't want to disappoint! i'm excepting quite a few people so i'm avoiding bombers for their lack of value, present lineup includes: (i can't serve anything flavored unless its certified kosher, which very, very few beers are)
    Bell's Expedition Stout
    Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout
    SN Celebration
    Bell's Two Hearted cans

Any other suggestions? and what will you all be serving?

I see you have both ends of the spectrum. I would add something a little less intense.

A nice wit or a Hefeweizen

A nice amber ale or even a nice scottish ale.

Depending on the crowd you may want to go all the way down to a Blonde or Lager.

Last year, I had RR Damnation with Christmas morning. This year, I wont be enjoying any beer for presents, but once I finish all 4 Christmas stops, I think I will pop a Delirium Noel. Nothing special, but a staple.

On Christmas I plan to open my bottle of rare along with a 2008, 2012, 2013, 2014 bcbs vertical of sorts with my father brother and a couple of my friends. No other plans though I'll play Christmas eve and new years by ear.

Crazy season. Between work rushes, shopping, impossibly horrible traffic, kid schedule changes and ramping up of all the seasonal activities, I've been left me with little time to plan dinner or plan the beer menu, so let's pause for a moment while I try to dig in...

Weihenstephaner Kristallweissbier - I have become this beer's bitch. It's pretty much with me every day now. Plus, easy drinking enough for my father in law to enjoy as well. This will probably be during dinner, if ham is the centerpiece.

2014 BCBS - Seems like a good enough idea to pop one off as a late morning sipper.

2014 Hardywood BA GBS. Got a few now, making one expendable for Christmas. I like the idea of a fresh one on Christmas and an aged one the following Thanksgiving. Makes an excellent dessert beer selection.

Well, that's my starting point. May go smoked brisket for dinner instead of ham, so that may change the dinner beer. If that be the case, I have a Lukcy Batsadr staring at me.

Celebration, more Celebration, and yet more Celebration, broken up in some fashion at various and yet to be determined points by St. B's Christmas Ale, Scaldis Noel, and N'ice Chouffe.

Back home to MI's Upper Peninsula for two weeks starting this coming Saturday. Gonna pick up as many varieties of Short's as I possibly can, hopefully track down some New Holland Dragon's Milk Reserve w/ Raspberries (if it is out by then),try the the 3 new Upper Hand Brewing beers(A new brand from Bell's only available in the Upper Peninsula), and last, but definitely not least, some Blackrocks Brewery 51K IPA! I miss my Michigan favorites so much.

Taking the girlfriend down to Louisiana to visit my folks the day after Christmas so I've been stocking up on bombers to work throughout the week and a half we are down there. Going to stop at Hopcity in Birmingham on the way down so hopefully I can score some more goodies.

My wife and I are visiting my parents, who don't drink, so nothing on Christmas itself. However, the next day I'm driving to a couple of WI breweries (Tyranena, Capital Brewing) with my wife and brother and we'll do our best to make up for the lack of libations on Christmas day. Also planning on stopping at Teddywedgers for Cornish pastries while in Madison. Should be a fun day!
