    6.5% - 8% for me. I can't remember the last time I drank a beer under 6%.

6-8% would be my normal after work grab me a couple cold ones from the fridge type of beers. Weekends I like to crank it up a bit.

I prefer Steins over Snifters...it seems like most of my homebrews land in the 5-6% abv range.

This all really depends on what day of the week and what the situation is. During the week I probably only have enough time for one or two before bed time so i tend to go bigger. If I'm at a restaurant, and driving, put me in the 2-7% categories. The weekends and anytime im not driving anything goes so put me in the all of the above category.

7.5% on the nose for me apparently. A session of choice would consist of flower power or nugget nectar.

I prefer a modest ABV. I'd go for 2%-4% beers more often, but I don't come across enough of them.

I don't drink for the buzz, so I prefer lower ABV offerings... However, being a novice homebrewer, I realize it's difficult to get the desired flavors in lower ABV beers... As such I voted 4-7.5%... There are plenty of brews out there in that range with awesome flavor and profile...

I have the new Mikkeller Black Buffalo which is 19.3 I bet two of those would have you pretty messed up haha. I know this outside of what you were saying though, just had to throw it out there.

    5% is ideal for me.

+/- 1.5% of that is my happy range.

A 3.2% Smoked Mild is now in my regular lineup of beers I brew. It's really flavorful, and I can drink 4-5 (and even 6) pints of it without worrying about feeling lousy the next day. Still, I'd probably put my ideal ABV slightly higher, say at 3.8-3.9%.

I don't do much sixpack drinking at home so the frame of the question doesn't quite fit me. I enjoy drinking one or two or a bomber of something special and I like to get a gentle warm buzz from it and then just ride that out, so give me 7.5-10. If I'm out at a bar I want less than that for sessionability. With that said, as I look at my ratings, my top rated beers seem to average out around 7.5 given a general range of about 6-9.

I intentionally made the 4-7.5 range wide, because people that go for different beers regularly might not fit into 4-6 or 6-7.5 but go for both on a regular basis, so i put them both in one, and just said elaborate.

4 -7.5 is too broad of the range. the 2-4% also doesn't make sense because excluding wierd state laws nothing is really lower than 3.5% outside of Odouls.

I think 3.5-5, 5.1-7, 7-9.9, and 10> would be a more realistic comparison. Regardless, I like the 7-10% which touches many IPAs, DIPAs, Imperial Reds and other of my main staples: NN, KBS, FBS, RIS, Hopslam, PW, etc..

Somewhere between 6% - 6.5% is my ideal. I can have a few without getting trashed if I want, but if I did want to get trashed, I could, by drinking them faster.

Ideally, I'd love beers to come in 0% alcohol form as well as the normal one and have no difference in taste since beer is so tasty and I love drinking it so much. I'd have them for breakfast lunch dinner and everything in between when I'm thirsty. Obviously though, non alcoholic beers don't taste good so that can't be done but if it could I'd be one happy camper. 0% abv Hunahpu...that's my kind of utopia.

For me this really depends on the intension of the drinking to take place. Most times I am looking to enjoy the experience of any given beer. In this case I really don't care what the abv is, unless I am short on time, in which case I will go for some of the lower abv beers. If I am looking to get drunk then I will most likely go for the lower avb beers, as they will not destroy me too fast. After all its not like I'm going to want to stop drinking after I am already drunk...
