What you do when you are alone behind closed doors is of no interest to the beer community:slight_smile:.

Best was last May-beginning at the Rose and Crown at Hose and then on to the Unicorn's Head at Langar. From there to the Boot and Shoe and the Marquis of Granby both at Granby.Next stop was the Red Lion in Stathern followed by the Chequers at Barkestone le Vale and the Unicorn at Plungar.Finished off at the Staunton Arms at Staunton in the Vale where the beer was half price and a massive plate full of roast beef, sausages, potatoes etc appeared, neither ordered or charged for.A perfect sunny Spring Sunday afternoon and evening and as I was drinking mild in each pub I arrived home still a functioning human being.Exquisite country inns every one. Mind you, I missed out a little as I picked up the minibus after the rest of the party had been to a few other pubs earlier on.

You can keep your sausages, pretzels, and weissbier.

I'd start with a sour, then have an IPA, then a stout. If you're talking about the setting - as long as I'm in America, I'm good. If you're talking about a meal - maybe some barbecue chicken or a nice steak.

I should have been more specific that I'd like it home-cooked in the company of family and/or friends. I appreciate your openness on how ignorant you are about America though. You probably think all BAs drink Bud Light.
