I love it when you can smell the tropical aromas before the glass even touches the bar and you know your in for
    a real treat.

I've grown to appreciate the tropical fruity flavors, it seems less of a kick in the teeth. But i like that spicy wood taste too.

Either can be great alone, but the best may be masterful blend that takes your palate across the hop spectrum.

Poll is flawed. Pine and citrus go together because the hops that contribute piney notes are also citrusy. Tropical hops can also have citrus. That being said, I love both. Just depends what mood I am in. I can't choose one over the other honestly. My go-to IPAs are prominently piney/citrusy(Founders Centennial/SN Torpedo); while my go-to Pale ales are prominently tropical (Odd Side Citra/Alaskan Big Mountain and others). No preference one over the other.

I want my citrus fruits up front, with some stone fruits that walk me to a slightly pine bitter finish.

    Thank you Lagunitas Sucks

Close call. Depends what my mood dictates and palate desires on any given day.

I like pine, and enjoy both, but if you take the flavor to the nth, there is a point where I cease enjoying pine, but as long as the fruit stays fruit and doesn't tip into something off, I'd enjoy tropical fruit notes no matter how concentrated it becomes. So tropical.

I just figured I'd narrow it down. I've been reading a lot of IPA labels describing their beer as having a strong tropical fruit element, and others boasting about how dank their beer is. I understand that there are more flavors and aromas than tropical and pine. I'm going for contrast here.

It's irrelevant unless it's balanced. I'd take either if they were well done. Assuming this, I'd take tropical.

I think the best IPA's combine all of those attributes into the same beer. That's why I love Enjoy By so much...

Love both but there's something about a tropical IPA that slightly edges a piney one.

Both. If forced to choose, I'd go tropical just becuase if they miss the mark somewhat, it's still pretty drinkable. With pine it's like sipping Lysol.

I like 'em to be both. Those are best in my opinion.

Pine in winter. Ask me again in 5 months and I'd say tropical.

I voted Tropical but I do like the piney dank profile in many brews
