So, a friend and I at work were talking and I forget how but the conversation drifted to the meals that inmates on death row choose as their last. And what would we choose. And that led to the notion that ,"well, they get whatever meal they want. They might as well get a drink too." So, that turned into "what would be your final drink?"

I had to think about it for a minute and there were some that I almost said but then I had a feeling I would regret. I ended up deciding on Duvel. Its positively delicious and I've never been able to find flaw with it. It is consistently amazing, a true work of art in my opinion and I don't think I would regret it for a second.

So BA, there's a question for you. What you want your last beer to be?

And for the record my answer to the food question was Peking Duck :sunglasses:

    Blot Out the Sun.

It's my favorite beer, period. Not saying it's the best, but for sure my personal favorite.

I'm torn between Founder's Curmudgeon Old Ale and Oskar Blues' Old Chub... I'd probably go for Curmudgeon.

If it was a single beer to drink by myself, I'll go with BCS. If it's to share with a fellow BA inmate, FS 18.

Something called Batch #00001. Some IPA. Also tried the IPA Julius recently. It is sort of hard to compare anything to Pliny The Younger.

A six hundred and sixty six ounce bottle of hopslam with a fully loaded AK-47 inside so I could shoot my way to freedom, or die drunk trying

If you're about to be executed is it not ok to go wild and take on a large format solo?! :grinning:

"Officer, officer. Excuse me officer! Can you take away these last few ounces. I'm starting to feel a little tipsy"

I'd ask for a das boot of BCBCS

My last beer would have to be the one I haven't had, and always wanted. GandhiBot. Might as well ask for the full treatment and make sure it's in proper glassware, also.

Being that it is my last beer alive I would go with something like Snake Venom. But for the most enjoyable experience, I would choose Duchesse. Meal would either be sushi or cheesesteak :grinning:

the last beer on death row would need to be familiar, reliable, traditional and assured of enjoyment, can't take chances for the "last" brew. most assuredly a Weihenstephaner.
