Those swing tops can be a gamble when it comes to those beers. When Uriege first came to the shop there were a couple styles and I bought two. One was fine the other was oxidized. The first cap popped off perfectly, the second one not so much. I drank it anyway. I would take another chance as the dopplesticke is a lovely experience you will not forget.

Halfway through the first glass and after reviewing this beer, it went down the drain. I had high hopes for this beer.

Don't drain pour too often but I could not finish Twisted Pine's Ghost Face Killah.

I drained half a Coniston Bluebird Bitter last night. Not sure if it was just an old bottle or a style I don't like. Thinking it's the latter.

What is the taste and aroma compared to what it is supposed to be like uninfected?

Smell was sherry, taste was vinegar & sherry. Zero coffee, zero bourbon. Like a very poor interpretation of Tart of Darkness.

The tap pours I had on black Friday were stellar: chocolaty, rich bourbon, roasted malts, balanced heat.

What might happen with prolonged aging--or will they just explode?

DuClaw Dirty Little Freak. Tasted like an Almond Joy I found in my couch. I haven't had many DuClaw beers, but between this and Sweet Baby Jesus, I doubt their ability to make quality specialty beers.

Bought a six of Blue Moon Farmhouse Red once in 2014. Attempted to drink one, and my wife attempted to drink one. over half of each bottle ended up in the RV holding tank. I dropped the other four unopened ones into the garbage can at the KOA the next day before we left. Worst. Beer. Ever! Bleh!

Other Half Superfun. I love Other Half's other stuff, but Superfun literally tastes like nothing. Massively disappointing.

Hibiscus Gose by Boulevard. Maybe it was just the style, but 2 mouthfuls was all I could do. I passed it around to some friends and they too couldn't believe how bad it tasted. I reminded me of a mouthful of New Jersey ocean water.

    Atwater Black N Cran.
A bourbon barrel aged stout brewed with cranberries. Sounded like a train wreck, but gave it a whirl anyways.
    Blaaah. No dice!
Also another by Atwater was Shamans Barrel Aged Porter. Actually the first time I tried this, last year some time, I didn't mind it. Tried again recently and couldn't stomache it. Ended up pouring the whole 4 pack down the drain.
