New Belgium Rampant for me. In my defense, it was 1. outdated, and 2. free.

 

Tusker lager from Kenya. I wanted to try a new country.... I will not be trying Kenya again.
This is the first time I have ever sent a beer back at a bar. Wouldn't even consider it normally, but it was actually that bad. I should have taken a note from the elephant on the label. This tasted like it must have been brewed with elephant piss.

 

Delerium Nocturnum.

Tasted like copper and blood to me.

I did a search on the net and it seems that for some that's what it tastes like even though the beer is highly rated by most. Ordinarily I love Belgians, and I like Delerium Tremens. But this one - I drank some and grimaced, let it warm up, drank some more and wretched a little, let it warm up some more and gagged, then asked myself - why am I drinking something that tastes like copper and blood? Down the drain...

I cracked open a properly stored Xocaveza the other night. Recommendation for future (if applicable) releases: drink fresh.

 

Three Floyds Alpha Kong. Too much cardamon.

 

Stone's Chai-Spiced Imperial Russian Stout. I couldn't even finish half a glass..

 

Oh, I know why he drain poured it. It's super duper sour. It was too sour for my palate. It's a palate wrecker to be sure.

My latest drain pour was Ska Brewing Modus Mandarina (although I did drink 1/2 of it). I swear I had an allergic reaction to this beer because it made my tongue feel weird and gave me stomach cramps.

 

Stone Delicious IPA.

Drank half and then dumped it.

I figured that it would resemble Go To or Enjoy by, but no, not even close.

Just a really strange ale all around. Doesnt even really resemble an IPA.

 

Kentucky Pumpkin Barrel Ale

YUCK! Literally tastes like Jack Daniels poured into a Sarnac Pumpkin Ale

 

Sam Adams - Dunkelweizen. Couldn't stomach it. Not a huge fan of the clove flavor.

 

I had Southern Tier Warlock at a tasting event and loved it.... fast forward a week and a local restaurant had it on tap... i couldn't get halfway through it.

 

I dumped a bomber of Torpedo dated 7/28/15. This was about a month ago, it tasted like varnish, and I've had this beer many times. I've talked to youtube reviewers that have had 'off tastes' with this years Oktoberfest. Quality control issues over at SN? Also, I bought a fresh case of Torpedo probably 4 months back, and you could really taste the alcohol a lot.

Prairie Pirate Noir - just too much rum for me...the smell literally made me nauseous

 

Boulevard imperial stout X - Tart Cherry. Super carbonated metallic cough syrup.

 

This beer was so sweet I poured half out too.
