$25 is a good price for Darkness. I paid just over that in November and was pleased with the purchase. I still have a boner from it.

Holy sweet fuck dude, you got way overcharged. Sounds like the second and third parties were trying to make a quick buck.

Well $28 for a bottle of Lou Pepe seemed a pretty insane, but overall I'd say oz/dollar amount would be a bottle of Bourbon County Cherry Rye for a whopping $32 a bottle damn good but never again at a bar.

I doubt they do. Even so, DL is only available one day a year, and I suspect they sell out.

The distributors are scamming the stores and the stores are scamming the patrons.

$20 near me... Paid $13.99 for KH, and $17.99 for Coffee last year. A bit of a hike I agree... but what does 3 beers cost at a bar on any given night? $13?

I went there to buy some Zombie Dust a few weeks ago. I was told that they sold 800+ six packs in a mere few hours earlier that morning. No more for a month. Balls.

Hey there Thickfreakness, any time you have KH available, please let me know. I'd like to get a bottle or 2 & I'm not willing to part with 1 of my kids for a bottle (like some people want in trades on BA):)

Went to Belgium in November, 2012 and bought 2 cases of Westy 12 plus some Rodenbach Caractere Rouge and Cantillion Fou Foune... Beside the price of the beer, I paid roughly $300 in shipping and of course there was the price of the flight.

$30 for a 750 of Tart of Darkness. I enjoyed GI's Dishonest Stout so much I figured it would be a worthwhile splurge. It wasn't terrible, but not worth that price.

Italian shipping companies are notorious for unexplained "shrinkage" of inventory. May help explain the insane prices you see on those products.

I see you're taking pains not to name names, but I shop regularly in Philly and haven't seen anything that egregious. Where are you buying?

Not here to sully names. They have decent prices on alot of stuff, but too many things are, like, 4 or 5 bucks more per 4 or 6 pack than the Wegman's a mile away. I guess you can say, they need to inflate due to the volume they keep. They have ALOT of stuff. Not all of it sells, so they need to make the money somewhere so they can continue getting the good stuff. But that still doesnt justify a $35 fresh bottle of Bitches Brew.
It wouldnt piss me off so bad if they didnt employ college kids that know NOTHING about their product, but thats a whole other story.
