Your Opinion on These IPAs...

Voting based on the ones I've had, as Surly/CCB are impossible to find and I haven't heard of Fat Head.

 

I feel like I fail. I've only had the Union Jack. I haven't gotten around to picking up the CCB since moving to FL. I do love the UJ tho, probably my second favorite IPA behind Founders All Day.

 

I voted Wet because I loves the fresh hops. And because I've never had it.
EDIT: Although, looking at that beer's description... I wouldn't necessarily call those hops fresh. I mean, 3 entire days from bine to kettle? We're used to 24 hours or less around these parts.

 

Fat Heads

 

CCB Jai Alai all day and twice on Sunday. I've had some of the others, but not Wet or Union Jack, so I can't completely decide. I do have ample access to week old Jai Alai if anyone is interested.

 

fat heads then jai then flower power. way behind are double Jack and nn. haven't had surly wet yet..

 

They're all 7.5% abv..

Head Hunter is money..

 

Union Jack is pretty good, Nugget Nectar is delicious, but Flower Power is far better. Haven't had the others.

The only one I had is Flower Power. I had it about a month before the best by date and it was still incredibly hoppy and fresh.

 

Have had them all aside from Surly's Wet. Voted Jai Alai because I know and love that beer.
Jai Alai, Heady, and Sculpin pretty much take the cake for me when it comes to IPA/DIPAs.

Really though, any IPA that is juicy, aromatic, and packaged within a month or so is pretty much all I ask for.

Fresh hop beers are fun, but I don't find them to impart the most pungent/flavorful hop characters, I think it's a bit of a gimmick to be perfectly honest.

 

Two Hearted

 

Great group of beers there, I would happily drink all of them. If I have to choose one and only one, I am sticking with the beer from my brother with Kalamazoo roots, Union Jack.

 

Flower Power

 

I have only had two of the choices but flower power has something about it that keeps it enticing. I usually dread finishing the last 2 beers from a 6 pack because by then I'm tired of it. Not with FP. If it's fresh it's like hop candy.

 

Head Hunter is simply fantastic and would be my choice. Though I have not had Wet, so that may give it a run for its money.

 

Flower Power, but only bc NN isn't an IPA.

 

Toss up between FP and Union Jack. Kinda hard for me to go Union Jack because Double Jack is so much better so it ldoesn't stand out as much. Nugget Nectar is not an IPA - just a hopped up Red Ale.

 

If we can't get our regulars we get head hunter. It's a little more expensive but very consistent. You know what you are getting. The funny thing about that place is it's basically a glorified BW3's. They have fantastic chicken wings, but they can be on the saucy side. You walk in there and all the parents are drinking while all the kids are running around going crazy. It's a commercial place that produces great beer. I would love to try surly or cigar head, but it's totally non existent around here. I've never seen either of them. The closest I came was in chicago, and they were out. I do have family in bama and florida...here's a question for you guys...how hard is it to find cigar head in the Florida pan handle?
