    I probably define "whalez" different than others, and for me they are beers I can't find in my area. My whales now are:
    White oak jai alai
    The elysian pumpkin beers

    On my short list: Pliny and anything FFF. But as a homebrewer, I can tell you that sometimes you make a batch that is so phenomenal, and despite subsequent attempts, you cannot seem to capture the essence of 'that' one. I've been dealing with this on an Imperial IPA that I made earlier this year. I got pretty hammered on brew day, so no brewer's notes. Only a foggy memory:slight_frown:
